Hey all,

I'm thinking about starting an outdoor grow (gonna do it too!) and i was wondering, what's a general ballpark estimation for when to harvest your buds and also, how long should you wait for them to dry out before they're smokeable?

early finshers...any time during the month of september. a few as early as mid to late august.

most others are done by halloween while a few sativa's can go late into december.

i mean how many days? i think ive heard something around 120 days is good but is there a way to tell when to harvest just by looking at them? what should the nugs n stuff look like?

it depends on where u live also...check a Farmers Almanac to find out when daylight hours go less than 12 hours PER DAY..that is when the flowering season starts in your area...now if u know how many weeks it takes to flower the strain you're using, u can count from the flowering point to the harvest point .. if the harvest point is past the first freeze point , then u will have to pick a strain that matures earlier to avoid freezing...K.

pistils(hairs) should be about 80% mature(wilted and drawn back into bud).. as Del said. sativas will take a little longer but are well worth the wait...K.
