View Full Version : When a US State fully decriminalizes marijuana...

Will you move there, visit there, or just wait for your state to legalize? I'd at least visit, and just camp out if I had to. This may be a reason why some states would not want to legalize, because they would get flooded with camping potsmokers. But then this would also be a major source of income for the state, especially if the state grew and sold the marijuana.

At minimum I would vacation there. I would move there if I could get a similiar paying job there.

OK ... Time to wake up, Crispy.

Marlboro have patented the "Bob Marley" cannabis cigarette for when it's legalised (according to someone here) so there must be quite a good chance!

Legalization in Canada or the UK is certainly more possible, but all people have to do in US states is vote, and the majority makes it legal. So it will happen in the US, and probably relatively soon.

we used to hear that story as : "the Government just patented the names 'Panama Red' and 'Acapulco Gold' " ... and that was back in the 60s ... not a lot of progress so far ... follow the money ... :smokin:

It's a little more complicated than that I think. Before we vote, a measure has to be written, and most politicians don't have the balls to let their opponents label them "pro-drugs".

What bugs me is that booze kills tens of thousands a year......
but pot kills no one...

same day it will be legal, maybe sooner if Canada goes that way, esp. if they start to tax it..

If it were JUST decriminalized, I'd try renting a location and opening a coffee shop or something like it. Maybe a bakery or something, I wouldn't mind that lifestyle :D

but im all for it being legal for people to use and carry around.

and extremely light penalties for cultivation and trafficking, would be ideal. Keeping it slightly illegal, so the companies wont fuck everyone and keeping the little man alive.

are their actually coffee shops in Vancouver?

I was just looking and there arn't any law against weed in Vancouver. I guess there are some shops that still sell MJ. Anyway, I would love weed to be decriminalized at least. I don't really care if dealers have a hard time if it were legalized, why would I want to put myself at risk so others could have it easier then me? Just as long as weed companies arn't like tobbacco companies, puttin dangerous addatives in it and such. That would kinda suck...

I highly doubt any US state will legalize it until Canada does. There's no doubt that the prohibition will end sometime in the future, since all things are temporary. The only question is how it will end. I bet legalization will come first to Western Europe, since many countries there are already moving in the right direction (Holland, Belgium, the UK, Switzerland, Portugal...). With those examples Canada will probably follow suit, and then it is only a matter of time before Americans find out that legalization isn't really that bad an idea.

so say a bunch of people were still serving long sentences for a marijuana related crime when it got legalized, what would happen to them? Oh our bad it turns out you didnt deserve that after all, here have an air freshener on us:)

I guess the only ones that don't want marijuana legalized is the drug dealers that are making money off of y'all and all these M.O.M scammers
