Today my Mom called my friends parents and told them I smoked. Now one of them isn't supposed to hang out with me and the others parents are really sketched out. I was considering confronting my Mom because she said she wouldn't punish me as long as I was honest about my smoking habits after she caught me for the 3rd time. Should I talk to her or should I just let it slide and pretend I don't know it happened because I think that's pretty fucked up that she'd do that when she knows they won't be able to hang out with me.

Yah, that does suck and it was kinda mean to do. If you want to punish her and make her crazy, pretend you don't know about it. She's prolly waiting for your reaction. :)

I was thinking about playing the guilt trip as I'm not to popular. Like if I just stayed home every day and didn't do anything. And when she ask just say that those were my only friends. Or I could just hang out with my friends that she doesn't know (all the hardcorestoners). Really she kind of shot herself in the foot if she was trying to make me quit. The only parents that don't care if there kids smoke are the really big smokers so that just means I'll be hanging around them alot more.
I'm surprised one of the parents didn't send me home when I came over today instead she treated me normal and even invited me to stay for dinner. I think she realizes I've made her son a better person and that I made her son be himself and he isn't afraid to show his intelligence anymore. Hopefully with time the other parent will see the same thing.

You should talk with her and be completely honest if possible. Explain that damaging your reputation doesn't produce the results she is, in no doubt, vying for. Though, being young means dealing with trivial consequences. Enjoy them, hate them, it's all the same 10 years from now.

What was the point she was trying to vy for. To me it seems like she decided to be vindictive instead of talk to me about it just go and tell my friends Moms that I smoke. It looks like she wanted to make me lonely or something. Luckily being grounded for 3 and a half months made me get used to being alone most of the time.

Usually my mom and I have a good relationship, because I'm the only one in the family who treats her with respect, but if she's not going to respect my decisions maybe I should do like my Dad and brother and be an assfuck.

quick question for soxsuk, what were your first two times getting caught like? I have been twice yet still have no idea if the 3rd will flip them off or make them accept it. They didn't like me toking at all but never even raised their voices or anything.

being an assfuck to your mum is being disrespectful man dont lower yourself to tht level talk to her like an adult explain things too her maybe she rang them thinking they was the bad influence on you. right or wrong all she is doing is trying to be a good parent and look out for ya. parents r human they make mistakes too.

i think you should talk to her like an adult, it might just impress her, maybe mention how she just punished you after she said she wouldnt if you were honest! tell her that made you feel like you cant trust her now, or dont really feel like talking with her or going out doing what ever you did before, let her know it hurt your relationship with her, and your relationship with your friends, suttle things that you cant do to make a point without disrespecting her.

I'll talk to her tonight but it sucks ass because I was going to have fun DXM night but now my friends can't watch me.
She said that she wasn't going to call because she said it would be a mean thing to do. I have no idea why she changed her mind. I'm guessing it had to do with my dad because he basically controls her.
Oh and the first time I got caught my parents went overboard (2 months of grounding) the second time they didn't do anythingexcept get hit by my dad. The 3rd time I was on Benadryl and I showed her my weed and stuff. She said she didn't have aproblem with it anymore. You should just come clean not wait for her to catch you tell her you still smoke and that you won't stop and that it shouldn't be a problem if you use it responsibly.
