do males grow/sprout faster than females?

Ok, so someone mentioned in a recent thread, along with a few others, that they think males sprout and grow fast than females. I'm interested in some discussion on this, along with some poles. Let's see if this is true :-) Please only vote if you have a well based opinion.

well from what i have noticed males look the best grow the best and they usualy are taller and about 3rd week of veg on 18/6 i notice very very tiny round things starting to form and past 2 grows i have noticed these are males...because males show sex first...
