I came across this light on ebay, and the price looks too good to be true. I'm only going to grow 1-2 plants, but I can't tell if this is a piece of shite or not....

That code is a list of several fans, 400w, 600w, 1000w. A 250w Metal Halide is sufficient for 2 plants in veg, but should consider a 400w High Pressure Sodium for flowering, as the plant needs more lumens during this phase.

The eBay light looks good... it says it's for growing... but I don't see no company information or anything... can't gOOgle information... hmmm...

I don't know if that's the same light I saw over @ Home Depot... I don't know...

That's just a 65 watt, highly overpriced CFL. You'd need at least 3 of them to grow anything useful. For the same price (after shipping) you could go to home depot and get five 42 watt CFLs for a total of 210 watts.

The auction's claim of it being the same as 500 watts of HID is 100% bullshit. It's equal to maybe 35 watts of HID. Also notice the seller's horrible feedback.

ya, big block is right. With shipping that would cost $50... i think people were getting those lights at walmart for 20.

Auction looks like B.S. to me...
