Florida residents are facing a one-two tropical punch, with Tropical Storm Bonnie moving steadily toward the state's Panhandle and Hurricane Charley moving toward the Keys. Although Bonnie has weakened, Charley -- already a Category 1 hurricane -- is expected to strengthen over the next 24 hours

I like danger as much as anyone but I really don't get it that people continue to build in places that have regular natural disasters.
Here in the south of England there are a lot of places built next to rivers, then the dumb fucks who live there complain about flooding????? WTF is going on there??
If my house is in danger of being washed away or the Earth is going to open up and swallow it then it's time to find somewhere else to live.
It must really be the worst to have to rebuild your whole home.

Yep. I guess the trade off of living in Florida is being close to a beach and hot weather with the possibility of either being struck by lightning or washed away by a hurricane.
What I want to know is how do those ppl live in San Francisco? I mean it's beautiful and the ppl seem very nice but...umm..major faultline...how can you forget about it? I wouldn't be able to sleep at night.
