Think this seed will germinate?

Well I already put it in the soil so I don't have a picture, but the outer shell was slightly open along the seam. So think it has a chance?

Well, being cracked along the edge is not good, but we are talking about a weed here. I figure it's got a 50/50 chance. Cannabis is tough.

It hasn't spouted yet, maybe I'll just did its little defective ass up and plant another seed.

you really want to germinate more then 1 seed at a time for many reasons some seeds dont germ some seeds develop fungas from germ on and of course half the seeds you germinate will be male facts of life...

Well I dug out the seed with my finger and it has started to germinate so I put it back in, and added another seed to the same pot in case I killed it when I dug it out. I've also got a third seed going in a different pot. I don't want to sprout too many seeds because I'm still testing out a newly built grow box.

Move that other seed to it's own pot!

I actually ended up killing my seeds with overfertilized soil, so I just started from scratch again. Also, my grow box temperature fluctuated way too much, but I've managed to stabilize it.

chances are you didnt kill it by over fertilizing but by digging it out with your finger taproots are extremely fragile thats why the paper towel method is recomended even then when transfering from towel to grow medium damage could be done to the taproot jus somethen to keep in mind better luck next time...

Hey crispy heres a trick for you. Youll need a paper towel a storage freezer bag and some seeds. Moisten paper towel with luke warm water,put seeds
on paper towel, fold paper towel over seeds, stick paper towel in freezer bag. Close freezer bag almost all the way breath into bag a few times and seal bag place in nice warm dark place. Wait 24 hours check seeds keep checking every 24 hours till seeds popped. Most seeds i have pop in 24 hours plant seeds in some soil dont go too deep about 1/4 inch will be plenty and very lightly cover seed with dirt get some of those plastic party cups and use those for your plants to get started very handy hope that helps...evil
