I was asked that if we were going to have Holidays at my home, that I remove any Satanic items at once.First,I am Pagan, not a Satanist. My candles, gargoyles, relic items are a part of whom I am and its my f****** home. Some of these items are antique..And...Did I mention it is my f****** home?So I told them that my offer to cook still stands but my home is mine, bought and paid for by myself and nothing would be changed...However I may see if Linda Blair is busy just to liven things up.. :rasta:

I need some yoga... :stoned: :stoned:

or you could use some more herb.....but i do see your point, yet you don't have to remove them completely............maybe just stash them in your room for the holiday. don't get me wrong i agree with ya fully, but a little compromise never hurt much of anything.

Be yourself, don't compromise for those people. Educate their asses on the difference between paganism and satanism.

Thanks..I loaded a big bowl and calmed down..I just think that if someone is doing you a act of kindness, that you should not have a list of demands..As for the meth idea,I would not touch that crap if you paid me tons of money..

Ya, take a goat, slit its throat in front of your whole family (thats how they sacrafice them, seen it :(..) That will impress them.

Anyways, I don't think a person should have to hide anything of theirs in their own home. My brother and his wife are very religious, but I still leave up my Pantera poster and my Satan word in the Jesus fish ornament up. You shouldn't feel the need to hide stuff from people. Your house, your stuff, your rules...right?

Starchild, I hope you had a Blessed Yule. I dont know if its possible for you, but I just put fresh pine and holly sprigs all around my pagan things and dont let the prejudices of the ignorant get to me. I just keep a smile on my face and change the conversation in a different direction. I wont put my 'things' away, this is my home and those that have a problem with my spirituality do not have to come if it is such a moral dillema for them. I invite all, but its their problem if they miss out on a great meal and fantastic company, not mine. Remember Karma. There must be tolerance and respect for your religious preferrence and at the same time have the same tolerence for theirs. I dont think this should include hiding your Pagan 'things", do they put their crosses, rosaries and pictures away when you come to visit? My husband is non Pagan but is extremely openminded. His family is so incredibly Mennonite. His parents come by very infrequently and the rest of his family even less. I would not put things away for them and Ken would never ask me to.
It is a very sad thing that so many are so ignorant about Paganism. there's no satan in our book, we have a high moral and ethical code, environmentaly minded, have a low opinion of violence, and so much more. But most Christians dont even realise that the majority of their holidays are based on Pagan celebrations. The Christians just "cleaned" them up to suit their moral standards. Yes well.............

Blessed Be
