Parents and Ganja

Until last nite my parents always kinda knew I had toked but never really caught me or anything. I lit up in my room at the window and didn't see them in the hot tub outside. I stashed my stuff but my parents came in and didn't flip or anything but said they never wanted me to do it again tried to get me to promise not to. Don't really know what to because I REALLY love mary but I do it appropriately, grades are good too. What now? just be mega stealthy? Give me some input from those of you who have been busted yet didn't want to stop then.

My parents have made me look them in the eyes and say I don't smoke, and also that I'll stop. Never have, never will, I feel kind'a bad afterwards for blatently lying to them, but fuck it, whatever keeps me high is fine by me :D

It's cool that they didn't flip at you, but next time don't smoke a jay in your room lol :p

yeah, respect to your parents for not freaking out, spilling your stash in the toilet, calling cops on you or sending you away to boot camp.

They don't like it, so don't plague them with it; do it with friends away from parents house or when they are not home and don't invite a bunch of burners over. Keep it hidden really well and keep your grades and shit up. When you live on your own you can put a hookah in the living room if you like, so keep doing good so when you live on your own you will be living well. ;-)

I might seem like an asshole but w/e. I say if your grades and stuff arent being affected just keep doing it.and next time they catch you argue with them about how nobody's even died from it,and it shouldn't matter that your smoking if you do it responsibley,just like adults drink responsibley.Just respect them enough so that it doesn't smell or they're friends don't know about it and It doesn't interfear with they're lives whatsoever.(sorry about the spelling ,I'm pretty hungover right now and can't spell lol)

i wouldnt know any of this cuz my parents are pot smoking hippies! i used to get high with them all the time. if fact i bought my herb from them. Its a modern world most folks i would hope have come to the conclusion that smoking pot isnt harmful. But i dont know if its good for real young youngsters to be smoking cuz there brain is still growing and all that. In some tribes i forget the name but only after u got to a certain age could u smoke pot. That makes sense cuz what else are you gonna do when your old? your parents seem pretty cool just dont push it yo.

Ya well i guess it depends on the parents to because before I talked to my mom about it she thought it was really bad and got all worried about it and shit.And after I explanned to her that its not even as bad as alchohol our relationship got alot better and she trusted me more to make the right decisions. I guess you just have to fugure out what to do on your own and hope it works though.Good Luck :)

I'd definitely print something off from the internet that gives them the facts about cannabis, and I'd make a point of sitting down with them and talking about your grades and how you're doing well and intend to keep doing well.

I don't know if I'd try and talk to them about your use of cannabis, not yet anyway. Also, seeing as to how they responded really well to finding out that you're smoking, I'd respect their wishes (to a certain extent) and not smoke in the house when they're home.

If the stuff you print off, and the grades chat goes well I'd try to talk about how you're using cannabis responsibly, but be careful - if you start getting annoyed and shouting, or whining, then you're undermining your "responsible" argument.

your parents are cool to me...even if myself smoke with my father, your parents just want what they think the best for you...don't smoke in the house you'll get caught for sure again...but in a couple of week, and please be patient, ask them if they have already smoked it, and start a conversation on it and tell them how you saw things while high...the goal with parents is to keep a certain connection so they feel safe, for you not to fade away...

you know even though i smoke with my father, when i smoke too much for him, he reminds me i shouldn't and i respect him...Never argue with your parents it's wothless...Adults need to be over you and it's normal...don't go against that law of nature...But always stay cool with them and you'll be rewarded, and i am talking from experience!

It went really well, thanks for the ideas. My mom basically said that she just didn't want to be a bad parent by condoneing me smoking pot but that it didn't really upset her or anything, she still dosn't want me to though(yeah yeah your parents are the coolest hippies ever etc...) I'll just keep it on the very down low and try to cut back from daily toking.
To start a good habit I split up the rest of my stash and gave just about everyone in my grade a little Merry Christmas nug, even those I dont really know, in shitily folded gift wrap. When im 18 in a few more months this should just be a funny teen years memory. :)
