I'm glad you know what you want to do. Me, I haven't a clue, I'm doing the course I'm on now 'cause otherwise I had to do A levels and I couldn't think of 4 subjects I wanted to do, and especially as they would be harder than school work.
The course I'm on (posted on 1st page) is one I saw in the college prospectus, I haven't a clue what I want to do in the future, but there aren't any alternatives.

Applying theory when improvising can get a little rough sometimes, you know like using your dimished scales to lead your 1M7 chord into a 5M7 chord or taking your harmonic minor scale down a half step to resolve a 5M7 chord into a 1M7 chord, stuff like that.

Thats what I say. I was going to go to Berklee College of Music for my undergrad degree, but my mom "doesn't trust me enough to go to college out of state" and the fact she is a UVa alumni played a big part in her decision, so I'm proudly one of 23 music majors at Uva lol
