It's sad, he was a funny guy. He made some good films, but a lot of his films sucked. He was one of America's first Crack addicts. He even blew himself up trying to make homemade crack. That man was a pioneer.

He went on a freebasing cocaine binge and ended up dousing himself in rum/cognac and setting himself alight...

He's the original trailblazer for doing racially offensive (to sensitive queers of course) comedy that lightened up the social tension, one of Dave Chappelle's idols as well as many other comics. R.I.P. He'll be celebrated thoroughly, thats for fukn sure.

Remember the movie called "The Toy" ? Good Stuff.

Richard Says "Lemme get this straight..... Your name is Master.....Bates?

Or when the piranha in the lake nibble on him.

Oh by the way which guy liked fucking transvestites? Is that Richard Prior or Eddie Murphy because I forgot?

LOL!

R.I.P.

LOL, way to use Google.

Anyway, it's sad. I only know him from when i've seen re-runs of some of his old stand up on TV or on DVD, that's about it.. but it's still sad.
