Weed in alcohol?

My friend told me about this one dude he knew that told him that if you soak weed in alcohol (100 proof or stronger) it dissolves all the THC into the alcohol and when you drink it you get high and drunk, it seems somewhat logical to me but i was just wondering if anybody has done or knows if this works.

i could understand doing that if you had a ton of weed or just some weed to waste. but i'd rather smoke a blunt and drink some beers.

it works. you have to let it sit and ferment for months, though.
