ok so i've been needing to work on my car, and today i woke up and felt compelled to do it...so i did, (6 or 7 hours of straight up hard back breaking [yes this shit severly injured my back, damn short car] labor) (btw for anyone wondering i had to disasamble the entire right side of my engine, and put it back together) so i worked like hell, cuz i knew i was going to be cutting it close with the day light and half my engine is laying on the front yard so it had to be done tonight, bout 6 my wife comes home from work and tells me her co worker gave her "some" and i'm like some what and she said weed....i was like holy shit yes! it's about a gram or two...but more than enough needed to get me to relax after today....hard work really does pay off...

thanks for offering but yea....by the time you actually got here i'd already have it done.....and i dind't have any problems or anything it was just time consuming work....and it's a little 4 cylinder which doesn't make doing stuff any easier....i mean even to get the water pump in you have spend 10 minutes figuring out how to manuver it into place....and of course i had to reset the timing, drain the radioator , drain the power steering resiviour, take out the altenator, take out the power steering pump, take out the water pump, clean it, put gasket sealer on it and put it back (i didn't do it good enough the first time so it had to be re done) take the pulley of the power steering pump and put it on the new pump (a fuck load more difficult then it sounds...i wish it just involved tightening some bolt....but no i gotta have the kind that take an hour to get on no matter how goood you are) put it back tighten all the belts and put every other thing i had to move outta the way back, jack the front end up (on manual jacks) and then....bleed the system...and i did all this without the use of my right thumb because i fuckin cut the shit outta it working on a power saw a few days ago....

sounds like fun. but try pulling out a 73 VW supper bettel motor, it took me atleast 3 hours to take out 4 bolts. now thats sum hard fucking work, it felt like i was working on a jap car, there was no room for my hand to fit in there and when i finaly did find out how to tak out the las t bolt,, i forgot to disconect the gas line, so about halh a tank of gas is sitting on my garge floor. and now as soon as i rebuild it, i have to figure out how to put the damn thing back in.maybe i will just pull out the trans axel and then hook it up to that while on the floor, then put it all back in.

my mom gave it to me for free as a christmas present....boy if only i had known that a gift was going to cost me so much....i've basicly replaced half the damn car with brand new parts (still gotta replace the exhuast system, all the hoses, windshield wipers and fix the problem with missing and fucked up lights....)

oh yea and since it's 22 years old....i'ts kinda hard to find parts for it....so that only makes shit harder...i called about 5 places looking for a new puller for the power steering pump...couldn't find one, no one had it on their records, so no one could even order it if they wanted to....(i'm sure i could find one, but i didn't wannna wait 3 weeks) one even wished me good luck on finding it, as if to signify that i wasn't going to find one....eventually i just had to take the pulley off my old PS pump and stick it on the new one....

well... for parts for my "just fuck around cars" i go to a junk yard called Pull-A-Part. and if u find a umm chiltons car reapir book for your car, theres alot of other cars that have the same basic things on it. like chrysler and dodge make the same cars, and just slap different names on it, same with GMC and chevy, umm... i had a 1987 chevy nova(realy made by toyota) but had the same motor as a geo metro, and i need to find that manual for my bro who just bought a geo

nah, it's a GM made car...an oldsmobile....it's brothers and sisters (liek you said most cars are really similar to others, just with a diffrent body style and name) are cadillac cimarron, buick skyhawk, chevy cavalier and pontiac j2000 & sunbird. years 82-94 if you wanna find more info on them it's gm's j-cars (the class mine shares with the other ones above. i can't get to a pull-a-part (we have 'em here too) becasue all that shit is in other cities (my city does't really have shit but hotels, houses, fast food chains couple autopart stores and shit liket hat...not as small as it sounds, but we don't have alot of shit here that major cities do, such as clubs, places to go to have fun, and we only got one head shop that's on the brink of extinction) and i dont' have a liscense (thanks to me gettin caught with weed) my grandparents cant drive outta this town (they can't handle free ways, or highways or that type of stuff, old people heh) and i have no one to take me....i'm going to have to go to one soon cuz i need a new fender, the whole front end of the body and both doors on the right...(i can probably fix the problem with the front but the doors on the right are rusted all the way through about 2 or 3 inches up from the bottom) this car has been sittin at my moms forever...here's a hint..it was legal (tags up to date) when she parked it in the back yard and never moved it again, it's now sitting in my drive way, with '01 tags, and i just recently got it. been sittin there a good three or four years and i thought it'd be f un to get it and fix it...if i'd only knew it was going to be this much work i might have reconsidered taking the mazda....

i've always loved those styles of trucks (i wanted to get one and put a huge ass lift kit on it, some big fuckin' tires roll bar and lights....not to mention a few other accessories) but i hate beetles -.- i dunno why...there's two cars i just cannot stand (plus the scion and element series) vw beetles...and those damned mini coopers ....i dunno why...just can't stand them. .

I'm not the one to ask. I know about as much about cars as I know about an elephant's gonads.

woudl you believe me if i told you didn't really know shit about cars til i got the repair manual to mine...then it all just clicked...? lol cuz it's true....not even a year ago i didn't even know what a crank shaft is....but now i can basicly be handed just about any car part from any car and tell you what it is...and what it's function is and so on...i guess tho i always had it in my blood...i was building skill lvl 3 (highest skill lvl of the smaller models) by the time i was 8-9

I've always wanted to learn about them, but I have about as much motivation as Bush does for saving po' black folks.

damn, that's pretty fuckin bad...well, it's not hard...i mean yea you can't be a dumb fuck and learn...but after awhile it all starts to come second nature...and you start understand what each part does and how it works, instead of just know it's name and if it's broken....and i dont' have motivation either...i 've always been a half asser....but for some reason i won't give up on that car (i've done pretty good too, when i got it it wouldn't even run, it was really bad...NOTHING worked really except the door handles....

screw a lift kit on my truck, im gonna lower it, put a chevel rear end(or nova or camro or any 60s or 70s chevy sports cars rear end) and then dual holey carbs, flow masters easust, eadelbrockheaders, edelbrock valve covers, MSD distiuter coil and wires, holey fuel pump, 12 galon fuel cell in the back, paint it blue and the add a few coats of lacquer, throw on sum datin low pros, and a tonow cap with a bumping sony Xplode stereo. and throw that shit into a race aginst a 2005 mitsibishi eclips with top of the line racing parts, just to kick the guys ass.and then aginst my cusians 2005 VW GTI, then a 2003 ford probe, and i know i can kick all of there asses with all of the upgrades im getting, off yea, i also need to toss in a 4 speed maual.

and as for how u say u didnt know shit about cars, ive been around garges since i was 2 or 3 years old, i have a mentor ship at a car garge (to keep me off of drugs and alcohal, dumb asses, i go in there stonded atleast once a week).

and yea, u said that your cars a GM, that would be a chevy. (same shit under the hood, have u ever noticed that a GMC truck and a chevy truck have every thing the same, and also when car companys make moters and the measure them in sises like 400, well... GM makes a 350 and so dose chevy, as to were ford makes a 351. just ask any1 at a car garge, and they will tell u that GM and chevys are the same. i mean rite down to the ashtray,(i went for a ride in my neabhors GM, and i was looking around it, and the first thing that cought my eye was the ashtary, exactly the same as my truck)

but rite now, if i do find sum one to buy my truck, with the monnie i make from it, im gonna buy a 66-74 chevel nova or camaro.
P.S., i would offer to sell u my truck, but even if u did have 1000 cash to buy it, it would be pointless to put a lift kit on it due to the fact that its only 2 whell drive, and the only sudjustion i have for a truck to put a lift kit on is a short box truck, and a 4X4 is a must, or a toyota.or any other jap trucks, althu i would go witha shorty american truck, it may not be the best for 4X4 due to the weight.
