    hard work pays off....

ok so i've been needing to work on my car, and today i woke up and felt compelled to do it...so i did, (6 or 7 hours of straight up hard back breaking [yes this shit severly injured my back, damn short car] labor) (btw for anyone wondering i had to disasamble the entire right side of my engine, and put it back together) so i worked like hell, cuz i knew i was going to be cutting it close with the day light and half my engine is laying on the front yard so it had to be done tonight, bout 6 my wife comes home from work and tells me her co worker gave her "some" and i'm like some what and she said weed....i was like holy shit yes! it's about a gram or two...but more than enough needed to get me to relax after today....hard work really does pay off...

thanks for offering but yea....by the time you actually got here i'd already have it done.....and i dind't have any problems or anything it was just time consuming work....and it's a little 4 cylinder which doesn't make doing stuff any easier....i mean even to get the water pump in you have spend 10 minutes figuring out how to manuver it into place....and of course i had to reset the timing, drain the radioator , drain the power steering resiviour, take out the altenator, take out the power steering pump, take out the water pump, clean it, put gasket sealer on it and put it back (i didn't do it good enough the first time so it had to be re done) take the pulley of the power steering pump and put it on the new pump (a fuck load more difficult then it sounds...i wish it just involved tightening some bolt....but no i gotta have the kind that take an hour to get on no matter how goood you are) put it back tighten all the belts and put every other thing i had to move outta the way back, jack the front end up (on manual jacks) and then....bleed the system...and i did all this without the use of my right thumb because i fuckin cut the shit outta it working on a power saw a few days ago....

sounds like fun. but try pulling out a 73 VW supper bettel motor, it took me atleast 3 hours to take out 4 bolts. now thats sum hard fucking work, it felt like i was working on a jap car, there was no room for my hand to fit in there and when i finaly did find out how to tak out the las t bolt,, i forgot to disconect the gas line, so about halh a tank of gas is sitting on my garge floor. and now as soon as i rebuild it, i have to figure out how to put the damn thing back in.maybe i will just pull out the trans axel and then hook it up to that while on the floor, then put it all back in.

my mom gave it to me for free as a christmas present....boy if only i had known that a gift was going to cost me so much....i've basicly replaced half the damn car with brand new parts (still gotta replace the exhuast system, all the hoses, windshield wipers and fix the problem with missing and fucked up lights....)

oh yea and since it's 22 years old....i'ts kinda hard to find parts for it....so that only makes shit harder...i called about 5 places looking for a new puller for the power steering pump...couldn't find one, no one had it on their records, so no one could even order it if they wanted to....(i'm sure i could find one, but i didn't wannna wait 3 weeks) one even wished me good luck on finding it, as if to signify that i wasn't going to find one....eventually i just had to take the pulley off my old PS pump and stick it on the new one....

well... for parts for my "just fuck around cars" i go to a junk yard called Pull-A-Part. and if u find a umm chiltons car reapir book for your car, theres alot of other cars that have the same basic things on it. like chrysler and dodge make the same cars, and just slap different names on it, same with GMC and chevy, umm... i had a 1987 chevy nova(realy made by toyota) but had the same motor as a geo metro, and i need to find that manual for my bro who just bought a geo
