Hi,

I'd like to make a documentary about smokers, why it should be legal and other stuff. IDs can be protected.

You can make a documentary about anything. They make documentaries about hookers and it's perfectly legal. Just use fake names but you will spend a lot of money on pixillation from blurring out faces.

filming the documentary isn't illegal.

If you really want to understand why cannabis is illegal read Jack Herer's book 'The Emperor Wears no Clothes. I think you'll find it interesting and if you can prove Jack wrong on his statements about why cannabis is illegal or perhaps the plant to save the world he'll give ya 100,000 dollars.
He hasn't had takers yet.
