well for mankind possibly. Global warming is fucking this planet up, but I believe there will always be some form life on this planet as long as we don't have a nuclear holocaust. Pollution is really bad I could seriously see us digging in landfills in 100 years for raw materials. A lot of garbage is not biodegradable and the trash that is biodegradable is compressed so tightly with the other trash that oxygen cannot get to it and decompose the trash. It all kinda scares me.

The world? No, the planet will probably be around for another 3 billion years or so. At that point the Andromeda Galaxy is going to crash into the Milky Way and the two supermassive black holes at the center of each galaxy will spiral into one another, pulling in billions of stars and eventually colliding to form an even bigger black hole. The Earth will either be sucked into the black hole, or hurdled out of its orbit and out of the galaxy as supernovae strip away the atmosphere and boil the oceans off.

But in the near future, there is no reason to believe anything that catastrophic will happen. However, civilization as we know it may be coming to an end. What is certain is that in the next few decades the depletion of the world's petroleum supplies will drastically change the way we live our lives. The current agricultural and transportation networks will not be able to function without petroleum, since all commercial pesticides, fertilizers and modes of transportation are petroleum-based, and there is nowhere near enough time to convert even a significant portion of that to some alternative energy source (and even then, no known alternative energy sources are capable of doing what petroleum can do anywhere near as efficiently). And even if there were enough time, who's going to invest the humongous amounts of money?

This is a new one to me. I had, previously, thought that we revolved around the sun, not a black hole.

I did hear that there was an influenza about to kill millions and millions and that is more severe than the 1918 flu that killed millions then.

There is a supermassive black hole at the center of every galaxy. We are indeed revolving around the sun, but the whole solar system is revolving around the supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy.

Check this out.

http://www.matter-antimatter.com/milky_way_galaxy.htm

The Milky Way Galaxy is a spiral galaxies with galactic bulge in the center, a large circular disk where our solar system resides, and an encompassing halo.

It says the Big Bang theory is wrong in favor of Plasma Cosmology.

Do you mean the center of the universe? I don't know, check this out.

No, I'm certain that I mean there is a supermassive black hole at the center of each galaxy. The one at the center of the Milky Way is known as Sagittarius A*. It's a relatively recent discovery, but most astronomers are convinced.

Here's an interesting page on the collision of the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies that's supposed to occur in a few billion years:

You know, I'm only a couple paragraphs in, but this really makes me believe in Divine Intervention. Just like Haley's Comet. Did you ever hear Alfred Einstein's nephew's speech on Jimi Hendrix's "Rainbow Bridge" movie? Or any of his speeches or works?

It's, also, amazing comparing Sagitarrius 'A' to Hurricane Ophelia.

I could.

okay heres my two cents, ... the world it self will go on forever and ever, but i think Armageddon is comming, very very soon, as soon as we kicked isreal out of their land.... guess what, Natural disasters hit new orleans and about t hit all of houstons oil refinaries, man i think everyone who believes n the man above will get takin out of this world peacefully before anything really bad happens. so id say start believing, or you might be left out, with all the crazyness with the anti christ and stuff like that, i believe in the lord Jesus and i hope you all do to

Melton, I believe in God, but I believe Jesus was his first attempt at saving humanity.

Howdy Melton,

Well so far,yer the only one to point out what the trigger for Armageddon will be..and it is Israel..there is the Samson Option to be considered,if we fail to continue to support their security against the arab world ,which desires to destroy Israel and kill every Jew. The Mayans predicted that the end of written history, would occur in 2012..unless we wise up and somehow change it. The end of the world, will come at a time of God's choosing..there may be redemption yet,but it looks like Iran and the rest of the arab world are pushing us towards a nuclear war..because of their blood-thirst for Jews and infidels.

Have a good one ...
