My Plants are Flowering nicely, And Now that the Autumn equinox has arrived we are getting 12 hrs light and 12 darkness, Which is perfect for flowering weed, The thing I would like to know is, Can street light affect flowering tinmes, There is a street light (just an ordinary orange one) Quite near my plants. Its bright enough to go out in the garden at night without a torch but not bright enough to spot a lump of resin on the ground if you know what I mean. WIll it affest the flowering time?

Ps I have really high walls so no-one can see in the garden despite the light :)

Oh man. Are u sure? It would look really obvious to the neigbours who look out their upstairs windows, Its already coverd with muslin. so they can't see it . will that do?

can you reach the light? Maybe you could spray paint it?

I would leave it alone personaly and see what happens... You have buds right?

How did you garden turn out? I know this is a old thread but I am dealing with a street light in my neighbors yard and it lights up everything, I have a lot riding on my garden and it's legal.

Easy enough to check.
The intensity must exceed 0.5 Lux to affect flowering.
If you don't have and can't borrow a lightmeter, that is about as bright as a full moon.

Logic would suggest that if the plants went into flowering with the street light illuminated at night during the veg. stage then there shouldn't be a problem. I have one not far from my grow and had worried about it but it causes me no problems and in fact my plants started flowering about a month earlier then they should have.
