View Full Version : Double seedling stem?

hi,

I have just started growing, and I noticed one of my 5 seedlings was a little bit behind the other 4, at closer inspection i noticed it had possibly 4 first set of leaves coming through (after the first 2), and as I turned the pot round i saw it had a double stem, just splits into 2, not damaged or anything.

I was thinking maybe when i poked it as a taproot or whatever, it acted as being topped at the first node.

has anybody else had one? and had any growing problems such as stunted or just bad growth?

I will have my new camera soon to do a grow report and take a picture of this, I couldn't find any similar posts using the earch function.

cheers

I have seen it many times, I call them twins. Sometime it just happends very rare but it does happen.

some strains have more deformaties than others, is this what you have ? one side will probly grow slower than the other.

not quite like that one, it's a single root leading to a single stem, that splits into two, it's a little bit behind the others with it having about 4 initial main leaves trying to come out, I will take a picture when my cam arrives (tomorrow probably).

I'm kind of interested to see if it will act as two main stems/colas, or just act like it's been topped, could potentially be a double plant in one, but perhaps would grow slower. Maybe zandor would know

we will see

That looks cool meloncoly.

Will they grow seperate ways or will they get entwined? It'd be interesting to see what happens

That's a great pic by the mole - never seen that b4 either :D
