Just a little light hearted thread, nothing heavy or serious :)

Ok, now for the past few weeks I've been hanging around the growing section of these boards. I've posted a few pics and told a little of my growing methods, which a pretty basic but they work for me ;)

One thing I have noticed without any doubt whatsoever is the passion you guys have for you're plants.
You care for them in every way possible, making sure that they get the best of everything, you worry about them, you give them names.
When there sick you nurse them, and no exspense is spared on there comfort and well being.

Can I just ask one question guys? ;) .......Do you give you're Wives, Girlfriends, Partners the same amount of passion, care and love that you give to you're plants?

Believe me if a guy showed me that much care and attention, well lets just say I'd be more than pleased ;)

Glad to have you back, i have no interest in growing at the moment, so never visit the grow section.. I may be up for growing when i get my own house/move out:D

i did grow once, and yes i loved that thing like no other, fuck i would sit there stoned talking to the plants lol. Ive been with my gf now almost...10 months sept 14th :D i give her way more attetion then anything. Its okay tho because all i want is to give her all my attetion.

I don't have a wife, girlfriend or partner at this time so I can't comment on that Mand. I do though have my daughter and I can tell you that I'd go yank every plant I have out of the ground in a split second for her if it would help her. I'd leave them to burn up under the lights if it would mean I could spend time with her instead of these plants. Let them starve till they were shriveled up little sticks. A plant, even though some on these boards make them sound as if they're the most important thing in their lives, is just a plant. And in this instance...just a weed.

The feelings and compassion and support we show for our families and friends and fellow humans is what's important in this life. To put something in front of that can only be construed as ridiculous and more than anything, self-centered.

I like your new pic Mand. Need to toss that flash though because you are a truly beautiful woman and obviously in more ways than just looks.

I'll admit I like a smoke (probably smoke far too much when I do) been doing it for enough years now to say that.
However if needed to, I'd bin them all and never grow again for my family.
My children and my grandchild are really all I'm about now, they are part of me, they have simply been my life since they were born.

Yes I feel exactly the same ................very well said love :)

Oh toss the flash and reveal my wrinkles :eek: ..............when get to old to care prehaps, but not just yet ;)

I would like to have a gf, and used to always have one, but some girls (god i hate them) used to spread shit about me, and got me quite disliked in year 10, but in year 11 i started hanging about with cool people (most are wankers now lol) and got a good reputation back lol

My b/f and I actually "grow" together and I have found it to do wonders for our relationship. Of course we are barely on our first grow but its good cause its a lil hobby we both enjoy and it has brought us together. We had a real good relationship before the grow began but was just a lil extra add on. But even though I have found myself consumed with my grow and on these boards daily... (lol) I would definately give up my hobby if it came down to it. Cause you can love the plants all you want. But they cant exactly love ya back! Ya know what i mean...

And Mand... from a females perspective I can only hope to have grandkids and look as good as you do. With or w/o the flash ;-P lol

Hello Mona :) You're right there only plants but try telling that to some of the guy's on here ;)

You're growing with you're boyfriend, that is so good, having common intrests with someone just brings you closer together :) , maybe thats were I went wrong with my ex, I won't go into it now but lets just say not many shared his intrests and I definitely didn't.

I warn you though Mona, once you get you're first harvest in you'll not be able to wait for starting the next, like Latewood said to me once "cannabis isn't addictive untill you start growing it".

Oh and my photo :o They can make me cringe to look at them sometimes, I'm getting old :( My grandson though he looks like the most perfect little angel...............looks like one but behaves like a proper little boy :rolleyes:

187 - No one said it was wrong to love your plant hell I love my plant. But If it came down to it coming in between something more important in my life...

(Weed is great but lets face it, it cant kiss you or touch your or encourage you to do something positive with your life. It can only make u happy for a moment and then it will take your ambission from you. If you allow it of course and in most cases people do.Will the your plant miss you after you pass on?)

Mand - I think most of these guys just havent found that REAL person in their lives to make them happy. So they resort to the next best thing. Usually they pick out the best lookin chic and think they have all they need but after the first year they start to realize that looks aint shit and that they need more.

I know I felt the same for a long time. But it ended up being that I fell in love with one of my closest friends of 3 years and never even knew the love of my life was in front of me the entire time.

I have heard some of the guys on here mention their g/f's in some positive ways when they talk about their plants of course its seldom but at least you know there is hope.

Mand it even seems you have some admirer's here! (Grow Forums) lol Of course they might not fit the bill for you. But there is always hope of finding that ideal person for you!

Hello Mona :) , Oh I couldn't be to hard on the guys on here, to be fair a lot of them are younger than my sons (22, 20), all they seem to do is move from one girl to another :rolleyes:
Like I said at the begining it's just a light hearted thread, I think we all know what boys are like with their toys ;)

The guys on the grow forums are great, whilst they keep serving out the compliments I'll keep posting ;)

Any guys since then have not really been my type, I don't know maybe it's me I've devolped a really idependent streak over the years.

Yes well, for those of us that just got ditched out of a longterm relationship, a plant is the next best thing. It never cheats on you, ignores you, talks shit back to you, etc. yes finding the right person would be nice, but not everyone is ready for that at a particular age. My puppy is my best friend right now, even though I know I could find a willing female for the typical pursuit, whats the point? Plus, you know the plant is gonna make you happy in the end when you clip it and smoke it :-P.

Hello NextGen :) Oh not jealous love, I'll just say amused ;)

I have found it just simply how most guys are, I have a friend and her husband has an old MG sports car. Now she is always saying how he loves that car more than her and I've seen him with the car and he does.
He calls the car Sophie :) He is always cleaning it, tinkering with it, it's basiclly his mistress.

Mind you I have to admit, my plants are easier to live with than any guy ;) but I still ain't going to give them names :)
