Still going to need to cut 2 holes in the glass. One for the carb and one for mouth piece.
Gonna use some spray paint for detailing the thing. If you have any questions like about the bowl and how i made it (pretty proud of how i did it) and/or comments on it they are very much welcomed.

how the fuck can you make a vaporizer that plugs into the wall? anyone with any knowledge on the subject care to explain? i mean...i'm sure that if i just attatched some shit around glass to a plug and plugged it in...well i'm sure that it couldn't be good.

its a wood burner, you can also use soldering irons if you prefer.
Here's a link (http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F011%5F009%5F007%5F003&product%5Fid=64%2D2055) <----this does plug into a wall fyi

well if it's a woodburner wouldn't it just burn the weed? maybe there's something i'm missing here, but i just can't see how something that gets hot enough to burn wood isn't going to burn something more easily flammable like plant matter

You raise a good point, although i have already taken this into consideration, the bowl i have put up on thier creates more surface area therefore lowering the temperture, it may not bring it down to the best temp but it will definetly help. it might take some tinkering with heatsinks i have left over from some old computers (could also buy from radio shack) until i find the right temp. I need a thermometer.....

hey can you do me a favor...when you get it all figured out lemme know? cuz i have a shitload of old computer parts and it would be pretty nifty to make my own vaporizer...but i don't think i have enough of an understanding to mess with this shit on my own...me and electricity don't get along to well, i've probably been electricuted more times than a torture victim

HAHAHA brings me back to when i was about 12 I stuck a wire in a bug zapper and boom. Any how back to the subject, A good way for you I think is to go to radio shack and buy the lowest watt soldering iron you can get ur hands on and plug it in for 15min while it heats up, then check the temp with some bud, if it sparks the weed (im almost 90% sure it wont on a 15 watt iron) then find some way to attach a heat sink to it, I have a welding kit so thats how i do it but alot of people don't have one of those. Better yet if you have a thermometer you can check the exact temp it generates but make sure u do it with the bowl attached cuz it could possibly make a huge difference, unfortunetly the temp at which THC evaporates escapes me.

Ohh and i have a pretty exciting suprise for tomorrow if everything goes right
;)

PS a woodburner doesnt make the wood combust mind you it just heats the wood until it turns black.

:( :( :( :( :( :(Huge bummer, cracked the glass while finnishing the shot hole. Good news, got a spare but only one. I think the diamond tipped blade for my dremel is to dull to cut this thing now because of all of the other pieces it has gone through hopefully can scrape some cash together for a new one. Any one have any sugestions on how to make holes in a Prego bottle, its pretty thick and dense?

Yeah, try heating the area where you want the whole with some type of flame for at least 60 seconds, then take any sharp but round object (corkscrew, ice pick, etc.) And pretend that the prego jar is someone you are trying to kill, then stab the shit out of it, in one good swift movement on the heated area. (Make sure you have good Aim!) this should create a whole without shattering the entire bottle. I actually do this to most of my bongs and other peices so I have an easier way to collect the resin inside! :)

ok this i do know something about. this is what you're gonna wanna do. get some of the wide masking tape and wrap it around a few good times in the general area you want to put a hole in, get you a water bottle or something that has a small neck...like one that comes in all those hair dye kits and fill it with water.....then you start a very small steady stream right where you want the hole. then as you're doing this start drilling, the tape acts as support (and incase it breaks keeps it all together for easy clean up) and the water reduces all the friction which makes it even less likely it will break....don't take it too fast, just take your time and keep water dripping on it and it should work.

slip should i use ur method with a regular drill bit and drill or should i use it with my dremel and diamond bit?
Ratsa think i could use like a red hot piece of metal instead of a flame because i remeber my first vap i used a torch lighter for the heat source and it cracked the thing after 2 packs. Crappy design mind you.

well i think that works with regular bits but it'd probably go much smoother with the dremel/diamond bit.

well y not use a dimond bit on a drill??? it has more of a contorlable speed.and a lil bit bigger so that you can control it... and i would use slip knots idea.. but maybe i would use the dremole... but i use the dril due to the fact that my dremol isnt a real dremol. its a black and decker cordless dremol remake
