What lights are you using? They are stretching really bad, meaning the lights are too dim or not close enough.

 Don't hack them.
Stretching is a bad thing, yes, but get those lights close to the plants. If you are using floros you can get as close as an inch with those. You can still recover them quite easily because it is so early in its life. When you transplant those little ones in a few more weeks, you put the plant deeper inside the new pot, cover the exposed, stretched out stem with dirt, and there you go, problem solved.
A little bit of stretching before its final transplant is okay as long as the plant can hold itself up. You can always recover it by covering that stem up. Good luck and keep us updated!

yeah get the lights closer.. those girls are just hungry for some light and the less intense and further away the light cause the plant to find that some bit of light and it just grows towards the light.
I hope they turn out better. good luck.

Placing the light closer does not answer the question that needs to be asked....
WHat kinds of lights are you using and how many lumens do they displace?

im not sure of the strength of light, its just a single flouresant by my computer. i have the plants closer to the light now an seem to be going better. my third seed germinated and is now in soil too , not as tall but more leaves.i dont really have the funds for good lights an such so i will jsut try this an see what happens if i fail i will know for next time thanks all

Do you know how many watts that floro puts out? It should say on the bulb near the ends somewhere.
You see, if you don't have enough watts of light, the plants are going to continue to strect because they are hurting for more light. That's why we are wondering. The problem could continue if you don't have enough power.
But your plants are looking fine. Looks like stretching has slowed down some. Good job, keep us updated...peace

looked at the bulb an no markings other than this:F15t8/D nothing about wattage at all. its only 16 in long not sure if that helps at all. i realize it will be a long time for anything to happen even if it does. but is ther anything i can do that might help them. im not even too concerned if they get very bog or flower etc. just using this as a chance to see what happens. they were jsut seeds i found in a 20 bag so no money lost if they dont work. thanks all

Ya, their just bagseeds. Nothing wrong with testing in the beggining. Give you a good idea of what's to come ;)
16inches, I'm guessing they are either 15W or 20W bulbs. That's a guess. I can't see them being anymore or any less. I see 2 of them in the picture? Is that right? If so, if you want to succeed or have any fun with this, just keep one plant under that light. Having 3 or 4 of them, they may not survive. Just a thought. Good luck!
