hey peeps jus a quick question.......where is cannabis legal now in the world, i know amsterdam, gambia, india and nepal are all ok with it, where else in the world is it legal?

i wasn't aware it was legal anywhere, tollerated but not legal. to the best of my understanding the US had over 150 countries sign somethin that said its illegal, and that was like in the 1940's

All drugs are legal in small amounts for personal use in Colombia.

In Jamaica it's tolerated somewhat, but not to my knowledge in any of those other places. In Singapore you could get the death penalty for dealing pot. As for other tropical areas, according to Erowid (http://www.erowid.org/plants/cannabis/cannabis_law2.shtml) small amounts are legal in Peru.

You might want to check out the laws for Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles. They are Caribbean islands owned by the Netherlands but I'm not sure what the policy is there.

Man Alaska it's pretty much legal. You're allowed to have like up to 4 oz. in your house, and you're protected by privacy laws. You're also allowed to grow up to 25 plants. At NORML it just says that there's no penalty for having less than 4 oz, and if you look in the detail section it says that you are protected by Alaskas right to privacy law. Many EU countries are also quite linient with personal consumption marijuana posession and you could find people in parks smoking out with no worries that a cop is going to screw around with them, the only country in europe to my knowledge that has really tight marijuana laws is france you'll get busted for any amount of it.
