man this blows...

well today i'm at my house... and my friends comes over and we just chill,but then me and my little bro get in to a fist fight. Well everyone chills out, about a hour later my friends asks me to stay the night at my friends.... so i'm like " hell yeah!!!!"... i ask my mom, and she says that'd be alright. Well ok, my friends mom pulls up in are driveway and i am about to leave the house and get in the car but then all of a sudden by mom says " wait , i'm gonna have to ground you". I camly ask "why?"... she says that " look at this bump in your little brothers head " . So i look at this tiny little bump on his head, and i told her that it's nothing and that she needs to relax. I then quickly explain to her that if i stay home, that we'll probablly get into another fight. Well anyways, she then grounds me. Now i'm stuck in my room, a couple mintues ago i went to the kitchen to get some food and my little brother comes up and is like " YO bitch yo wanna fight :rolleyes: " .

My question: why do parents do stupid shit like this

Also, i've been noticing how many people want to legalize weed on this board but the thing is every time i go on this site people are like " well right now i'm tripping on some good acid, and i think a line of meth". This is not a good way to legalize weed by doing other drugs also. One myth of weed is that it leads to harder drugs, i mean... isn't weed enough?

My question: WHy can't people who love weed stick to weed? i mean that sounded stupid, but i'm kinda right how alot of people who toke also do other stuff....


Also, another family story. I come home and me and my friends are chilling here for a couple hours, then my mom comes home and she says "were you in the backyard?" i respond by saying " no"... she then starts yelling at me " wELL YOU BETTER NOT HAVE BEEEn, i've got the neighbors watching you!!!"

She's got the neighbors watching me, what kind of ish is that? I mean, people are watching you.


It also sucks, because my family takes me to get drug tested at a lab while someone watches you pee.
A couple of things that suck ... my family get in my buisness, i don't get too doo things my way, i don't have personal space ( they "forbid" me from visiting these forums i'm posting on ) , and i don't get to just be a teenager and just explore stuff. I got high bout' 40 times before i got caught at school. Now my parents were flipping out about me getting in trouble with weed/ and how i was smoking weed...my parents both despise drugs. Ok funny thing, my mom said that drug dealers are just as bad or worse than terrorists... and that drug users are right behind them. HAHAHA :eek:

I mean, i love my family and i enjoy living with them... they feed me, are really nice to me, and well my parents are just cool besides the things i dislike about them. They always take me to friends, and i know they love me.

Basically, If you were in my position would you continue to toke if it meant getting grounded/ and losing parents trust?


Also, anyone who's older here ( 18+ ) ever go through these things

i shouldn't really be smoked at 14.5 but well, i didn't even smoke once. I like once on weekends... that's it. After i stopped smoking, my grades went down... it's weird

i had B's and A's, but once i was forced to quit my grades went down to B's, A's,C's, and a D-...

Basically, cannabis made me happy! :-)
its something i'd look forward to, and treat it responsibly.

actually i gave some to a friend, and basically... this kid snitches on me. his mom calls up the school thinking that it was all my fault ( the kid wanted some ) and she then finds out that it was also her sons fault. FUCKIN BITCH!

needless to say, we both got community service and slapped on wrist.

The last figure I heard is that around 10% of people who smoke move onto other drugs, whereas 90% of people on harder drugs started with weed. Its a great manipulation of facts that gateway theory, isnt it? Might as well say aspirin is a gateway drug since Im sure 10% of people who take aspirin use harder drugs.

And this may not get me many fans here...but minors posting about smoking bud doesn't help the legalize marijuana campaign much either. -shrugs-

Intellectually I would say no. However, I really understand your inner conflict over this. I got in BIG trouble when I was in HS for smoking weed, I quit for about 3 months and then started again. I was just much sneakier the second time around. However, I wouldn't risk the humiliation of failing a drug test if it had come to that...

Why dont you be clean for a few months, prove to your parents that you respect them and their wishes, and then when the heat dies down a little see how you're feeling about it then? And if you decide to smoke again I would just make damn sure that my parents would NEVER find out.

I have'nt smoked pot in like a month or two, it does'nt bother me much. With work and skateboarding, my time is taken up. Just do something for a few months until your parents fuck off, than smoke carefully. I just got caught for the 3rd time this year like 3 weeks ago. Their going to give up soon.

Agreed. But seriously, aside from weed, i've done DXM and shrooms. I think that'll be my limit. I'm perfectly happy with weed and shrooms. I don't need anything more hardcore than that. I don't think I could handle LSD or Exctasy

Just keep your grades up and don't get caught toking up... I mean you'll still flunk the pee tests but eventually they will loose intrest in flipping out about it as long as you don't give them anything else to bitch about... or you'll turn 18 after 3 years and it won't matter anyway :)

When my parents caught me I was allready 19. They still freaked out a bit but I just changed the subject every time they brought it up shrugged off whatever they had to say and eventually they quit buggin me about it. I am sure I'm still talked about behind my back but fuck it, I don't care what they think or say. I am happy with my life, my wife and daughter are great, and anyone else can go fuck themselves. haha

my mom found out that i was smoking weed when i was about 14 i think. i tried to hide it alot up until i was about 17 then i just basically told her that i was going to keep doing it and that was that. i still smoke today.

Man i use to live with my parents. But i hated it i got really depressed and then i tried to kill myself, more then once. THen i found weed. Then i got caught, got even more depressed, did a stupid idea but worked and said unless you let me live with my grandma im gonna kill myself. well i was fourteen when my dad found my stash the first time,he's a smoker himself but still doesn't want his kid doing it at fourteen and i decided to agree with him wich was a good decision so i quit for a while and started tokeing again when i thought i was much more mature and could handle some situations that weed could get you in(ie getting arrested,getting caught in school(i haven't been in either))and now that i've shown i'm responceable and i'm not doing anything stupid to get myself caught he pretty much lets me smoke(i can smoke in my room with him home,and can smoke a joint out on the porch if i want to sit outside and smoke) i like to try other drugs but my all time love will be marijuana,i'll try coke,lsd,mushrooms,meth,salvia but in twenty years i'll be smokeing pot not doing lines.from what you said in your posts your smart and know that wether your family agrees with you or not they do love you and you know to show them respect i think of all the kid on this site you should be able smoke however much you want,by the way i'm 15 too(well kinda,i'll be 16 in two weeks but either way i'm no smarter at 16 than you are at 15)so outsted i agree with what you said but don't group all people into one clump because they are the same age,as a stoner you should know it's hard to get around the Stoner stereotype so imagine what it's like to get around the stoner and your just a kid and don't know anything stereotype,i agree some kids are too irresponsible and immature to smoke pot,but don't denie the right to the ones who are smarter with the drug than most adults

I understand your feelings. But I dont and wont agree with the idea of its ok for minors to smoke during the controversey of legalizing marijuana. At the ages of 14, 15, 16, 17 kids are still growing, their brains are still developing, thats a fact which will be considered when determining the age limit if its legalized recreationally - and while I am well aware there are lots of kids who are more developed emotionally/mentally than others, I see the legalization of marijuana being for adults (18+, possibly 21+), cuz who is going to determine who is an emotionally developed child/teenager and whose not? Thats too complicated and only makes the process of legalization stagnant. Frankly, I think minors who are openly smoking weed really hurts the legalization process, so as an adult I won't see your side of the argument since I know you will be an adult one day and you could legally smoke then if made legal, instead of lessening the chances of it being legalized because you choose to smoke now. And while Im sure its not intentional, as an adult I see the choice of minors smoking as pretty selfish.

That said, I did start smoking at 16. But now that Im older I know that as far as the cause for legalization goes, I didn't help anything by choosing to smoke while being a minor. If I had the capabilities of looking at the big picture instead at my own immediate wants and desires I would not have smoked. As they say hindsight is 20/20. Im probably considered a hypocrite for condemning children smoking when I myself was a child when I started, however I can only say that I have much more clarity now about what its going to take to get marijuana legalized, and I'd much rather be a hypocrite to get the herb legalized, then to condone minors smoking while ignoring the fact that condoning it will just give more fuel to anti-marijuana groups. Im not going to do that. Its the big picture Im looking at, and I hope you can understand that.

Im not going to get all up on anyone's case about being a minor and smoking, but I wont condone it.

Once its legal, then I'll possibly be more accepting of the idea of lowering the age limit because I do believe the plant is generally pretty harmless, but its going to take lots of studies, research, and education before the public will be willing to accept that as fact. It may not even be a fact for all we know. :confused: But anyway, right now I am not accepting of the idea of minors smoking, not a chance I will be either as things are right now. I really do hope you can respect that, and maybe possibly absorb some of the things Ive said and determine what part you want to play in the legalization process. :)

EDIT: Everywhere I say "choosing to smoke" or "minors smoking" put "Openly" in there. I really dont care if they smoke, its when they make it known to the world and it becomes the talk of the neighborhood/community that I find lessens the chances of bud getting legalized. Just be smarter smokers until you're not a minor, the world doesn't need to know your bud-ness. ;)

That is a very good question, OzzyOz... I think that people just seem to want to seek out new highs... And a bit of peer pressure added to the mix just seems to make people do it, though they ordinarily may not. I was toking with a friend of mine, and he had some Coke. Now, I have an extremely addictive personallity and I knew that trying something new might lead to an addiction... But he kept pushing it and finally to shut him up, I tried it... I wasn't amused.

Really, I have no idea why people do other things... Maybe to try and push open their doors of perception. People like Timmothy Leary.
