Why post if you aren't contributing anything?
Why would their laws specifically effect nurses? They aren't allowed to target one group of people and make laws just for them. I'm sure if you're applying for a job as a nurse, they drug test you. But if you're a nurse in the U.S. and would just like to visit Amsterdam, then they can't do anything about how much you smoke and how much you trip.
My suggestion? Go and get FUUUUUCKED UUUUP while you're there.

Amsterdam has drug laws?? Since when??? Well Hell that ruins my vacation. But what does being a nurse have to do with anything??? Wait unless your referring to nursing as in growing.... hmmm....be a bit more specific

My sister went to Amsterdam a few years ago with a co-worker. It was a business trip to Germany, but they made a drive to Amsterdam on a weekend while there. The very day they returned to work, they both got "randomly" selected for a drug test. My sister didn't smoke over there, but her friend did. She got fired that very day. She argued that she wasn't breaking any laws there, but her company policy strictly forbids drug use.
By the way, that company "randomly" tests everyone the day after their birthday, the day they return from vacation, and almost everyone below management level gets tested within a few days of New Years Eve. Pretty "random", huh?
So to answer the original question, if we're interpreting it correctly, is yes, you can be held responsible for a failed drug test when you return. :(

softdrugs are not legal over here, it's TOLERATED
thank G I dont live in A'dam, bollocks about drug testing. then again not everyone that does softdrugs is responsible.whatever.
whatever you do. dont bloody transport drugs between countries. in coffeeshops you can buy MAX 5 grams a whatever plus thats the amount ur allowed to have on pocket without police giving you a fine. dont just smoke on the street. do it in coffeeshops, own house, or pubs were its permitted. just be respectful man.
outside of A'dam its actually more relaxed.
