I think I have officially found the best stoner job.

You can smoke on the job, you get to listen to music the whole time, and drive around and eat snacks. Its PERFECT.

All I do is put flyers on mailboxes all day for a home decorating company. Its the shit!!!!!

I was just thinkin about this at work today.

i worked for a pizza olace about 25 yrs ago that was cool ..drive around and smoke weed and listen to tunes... plus there was always food to eat...plus after work our boss would buy the beer to drink while we cleaned up ....i worked at the zoo one summer... that was fun. just feedin animals and getting stoned in the barn's... and they had a kick ass snack bar ..but by far the best job i had.. was selling weed / acid / cold beer and t-shirt's at concert's [ mainly G.D. shows] it was nice to get to travel from town to town... we just worked a few hrs a day before and after the shows .. it was a great way to see the country and meet a lot of differant people..we did it for 4-5 yrs.. before we started having kid's.. and had to start settling down a little bit ..

when it was good it was REALLY good but when it was bad it sucked ass to no end. some places were ez to get away with it but others were not so friendly..and by the late 80s the whole scene had gotten very crowded and in some cases very heavily policed .. but i wouldnt trade one of those days good or bad for any thing in the world

I used to work at a tie-dye shop owned by 2 hippie brothers. It was awesome and funny as hell. Sometimes we'd get stoned and laugh our asses off for no good reason. Once I got so ripped I passed out in some blue dye and one of them had to drive me home. Good times.

Working for a landscaping company. I work with a cool crew and we smoke. I like it cause i get to be outside catchin some rays and gettin a workout. Plus i like landscaping and horticulture.

In the past, Ive had 2 cool jobs where smoking on the job wasnt a problem.
Once I worked weekends at a golf course. Id come in about 7am and ride a mower around cutting greens. Once you got to about the 6th or 7th hole, there werent many houses around. You could just cut the mower off, blaze, and check out the morning sky and hear all the cool morning sounds.
Nothing beats the summer job I had about 4 years ago. I worked for an organization (I will leave nameless), and all I did was drive around in a truck all day and put out insect traps for a study. I never saw my supervisor, I always worked alone, and I spent a lot of time in rural areas and gravel roads. I was high everyday.
It was so good, in fact, that once I was parked on the side of a gravel road lighting my pipe and I spot a cop coming up the road behind me. Thats a scary feeling. As he rode up beside me, I guess he saw the truck I was in and waved at me, never suspecting a thing. Had I been in my personal vehicle, I probably would have been checked out a little closer!

I've had 2 stoner friendly jobs. Taco Bell, my first job, we sat on the roof drinking and smoking for the whole shift (graveyard). We could scope out cars pulling in the lot and we would take turns taking and making orders. Man those were the days. Second job was pizza cook/delivery. EVERYONE there smoked except the owner and he was never there. In the basement there was this old closed down bar that was the official 420 spot while on the job. Thank you Old Town Pizza!!!! for the 2.5 years of employment with the coolest damn crew ever. haha

Nope, they left it on me. I had a blue forehead and some blue hair for a few days. My passing out was no biggie, in fact, when I got back home, me, my husband, and the brother who drove me home sparked another one up in the garage. I still see the one owner (the tie-dye shop is now a decent sized operation now, so, no more toking for the employees) every once in a while. Even though this happened ages ago he's still like, "Hey, how ya feeling?" And I'm like, "Shut up, Dan." :p

ive had 3 jobs in my life time one in a paintball field as a ref, bad ass job, just imagin being in a pine forest all day, and when shift closed just listen to music wihle talking and cleaning the mask and rental paintball gear...

2 blockbuster wich was O.k, the bad thing is whaen i was stoned i ALWAYS closed the cash drawer without giving people there change.(wich sucks cause you have to call the manager to open it)

and now i wor VALET, this is the best. i get high, and drive bad ass cars, while listening to music and talking to people..

worked for a few years getting through college as a stocker at a health food coop....everyone smoked up.....it was deep south and when it would get home in the summer one person would agree to stay to run the register and the rest, managers included, would go to thse natural water springs called the holes and skinny dip, eat munchies and smoke till the sun went down..had a lot of bad sunburns...but would do it again in a minute..something freeing about seeing everyone you work with naked and stoned....takes alot of the politics out of work....boss: you need to get to work earlier employee: oh yea, you got a small dick....

I think when I delivered pizza for Dominos in Valdosta, GA, it worked well. I would just be at work long enough to grab another order and take off and always have cash on me. :) Also when I worked at a Colorado park I was able to smoke while I cleaned up shit.

yea i had a vallet job... heres how to make extra money... u always park nice cars because ur at a nice resturant which means these people ahve money.. so me and the people that worked there came up with a plan.. take 3 dollars in change out of everycar u park... i would park 50 a night aka 150 extra dollars.. u obviously have to keep dumping it in ur car, but its worth it... it was just somthin i noticed... these people always ahve like a retarted amount of change that they dont care about in there car, nobody ever noticed

heres one better... anybody wants to make seriosu money... get a job at a prepay parking lot near like bars and nightlife... by prepay i mean that they drive up give u the money(flat rate) and u give them a ticket and raise the gate, when they leave they give u a ticket and u open the gate... so one night i accidentialy opened the gate before i agve the dude his change... and he just drove in(never took his change)... so i say huh, wonder how many peoiple will fall for this, n like fridays sat and sun (i called money nights) its about 1 out of every 10 cars.. this works because most of the people are drunk want to get drunk and only have 20's because they just went to an atm, and it costs 7 to park and they dont realize, and just see the gate go up and drive off... the best part is the worst that can happen is u getting fired because the compoany still gets its 7 bucks so ur register is legit every night,a nd u just pocket the money, and if they happen to come out and remeber they didnt get change... u just giveit back, if not its yours...

I'm gonna say the best stoner job I've had was working at a gaming store. Not video games, but an actual table-top roleplaying, MaGic the Gathering card carrying, nerd dungeon kinda gaming store. I was the only girl working there and I wore shorts and bikini tops to work everyday. We sat on comfy couches and played videos games and table top games and got baked out of our minds. Our shop was right down from a ton of food and we could just walk there anytime. :hippy:

If you have a DUI or anything on your record, they give you the 3rd degree. Too many freaks anymore being teachers. Teachers banging students in grade school, middle school and high school. What a mess. Never heard of that crap in my day. :wtf:

And, yes, they piss test teachers as far as I know now. I couldn't substitute 10 years ago because of a DUI even with a graduate degree. :jointsmile:

Back in high school my buddy and I got hired at Wendy's. We never got the same work days or hours but mostly everyone smoked bud except for the manager which only came in on Saturdays and Sundays if I remember correctly. But you can't beat getting high in the back freezer during the day, getting high on the roof at night, and getting high in the lobby after the joint was closed. Oh and did I mention that eating during and after the job was a plus!! :thumbsup:

Those were the good times, I don't think I will have as much fun as I did there anywhere else :(

My first job was my best stoner job,I was working the counter at the local pizza place. Best friend's dad and uncle owned the place,and everyone smoked except this one hard metal wannabe kid. Well me and my buddy would go out back before our shift(same days and hours every week we worked together,pretty bitching if you ask me) and smoke a joint or a blunt. One day we ended up making a medium pie with like about a half O in it. Best damn pizza I have ever had:D. Fridays and saturdays we'd close the curtains and lock the doors for the last hour or so and just sit around drinking and smoking till close. Not to mention paid in cash weekly,and our nugs guy got hired to be a delivery driver.

Another pretty fun place was this frozen custard/ice cream place,it was pretty cool till winter rolled around. Having to open those windows holding cold shit and liquid on your hands was horrible. But the free ice cream and milkshakes were worth it somewhat. After my first week there,it's me and 2 others closing up for the night. Both of them are all nervous and finally ask me if I toke,which made them real happy when I said yes. We ended up clocking out like after 40 mins of smoking,story telling,milkshakes and ice cream lol.

Probably my favorite job was working third shift at a gas station.....with dummy cameras due to cheap ass owner. I'd come in toked up at 10,deal with the usual customers till 11:30 and go take a bowl rip in the bathroom with the big utility fan or the back room. Do my side work which took an hour,hour and a half tops. Basically at 1 am when alcohol is cut off,the store was my play ground. I would smoke joints or my bong outside on the wooded side where the pumps are off at night. Also I brought my laptop in and I'd be playing video games or I'd have a friend or 2 in the booth watching a movie with me as well. Best part is I've made friends with 2/3 of the police force out here,all because I shoot the shit and give a free coffee out lol.

:greenthumb: that would be my dream stoner job, being a farmer. i grew up on a cattle ranch, and know its a lot of hard work, but it seems like a fun now looking back. writing software is not a bad gig either if your like me and love to write code after some herby. :) it just makes it funner. :D :stoned:

i worked as a pool guy for about a year and a half. not the cleaning part but more fixing pumps/breaks in pipes/electronic screwups. rode around all day (usually put close to 200 miles a day in on the road due to the size of the company i worked for, we had pools all over GA and SC) as long as i got all my shit done every day my boss didn't care how i did it, and never checked my time sheets (had to write down the time you got to and left every house) so i would just add 20-30 minutes to every stop, by the end of the day i had an extra 2 to 3 hours (not to mention an hour lunch break that could be taken whenever i felt like it) to do what i wanted haha. got plenty of tips, twice i got the horny housewife offer (took it once, the second lady looked like java the hutt) never got drug tested...
only complaint i had against that job was it absolutely blew during the winter. it would be 15 degrees and everything i touched was wet, usually covered in ice on cold days. during the summer though, that job was the best you could get. smoke, ride around listening to music, get paid a couple hours extra every day than you actually work, stop and get some food whenever you feel like it, get laid, if i felt like it i could stop by the house during my extra time and take a little nap.... ahhh those were the days :jointsmile:

working with a local contractor doing roofing flooring and built a house in that summer. on the way to work would burn a joint, work for a little bit, stop burn another joint, work some more burn, lunch which was always 2 hours and would get baked before and after it. smoke a few more times in the afternoon, then go drink beer and smoke and play pool all night haha.

fun when on a roofing job, twice had someone stop for the day because they were to stoned to be on a roof.

now im in collage for an electricain, and half my class burns, so we all hang out together. what better job can you have then school? always time to burn between classes, and always lots of weed around.

Totally agree. I work for the federal government. Unbelievably, I have never been subjected to a urinalysis and there are no randoms. My boss is based in another state and I am the only person from my organization at my post of duty. As long as I get the job done (which I do well), I get no interference or micro managing. Days go by without even hearing from my boss. I can pretty much come and go as I see fit and can take as many smoke breaks as I want (tobacco). I usually blaze a little cannabis in the morning before work and in the afternoon when I get home.

You can smoke on the job, you get to listen to music the whole time, and drive around and eat snacks. Its PERFECT.

All I do is put flyers on mailboxes all day for a home decorating company. Its the shit!!!!!

I understand the humor, maybe I am being a bit to serious but in all reality, with current law, and knowing "stoners" in jail facing real time away from their friends and family, when the only "crime" was that they liked to get high like me and you.

This post just helps that "stoner stereotype". If you really want to get serious.... lol smoking pot and vandalizing "Federal USPS" property, will get you two federal felony's. With the right judge and jury, that is about a 10 year minimum sentence in a federal prison!

Not to bring anyone down, but value your freedom, understand the law, and have a good time doing what you do. Just don't take things for granted! Most important, lesson to learn, don't do stupid shit that will get your freedoms taken away! Pot is really expensive in jail!

earlier this year i worked for a vegetarian/vegan cafe that was owned by a dealer, was fucking ace! Everyone who worked there was a stoner and as long as you got the work done it didn't matter if you came in completely up on coke, having an acid trip or high as a kite.
Then it got taken over by two other dudes, one tight as a badgers arse and more of an arsehole than one who did absolutely no work ever and the other was cool, stoner, raver, organizer of free parties.
If it hadn;t have been for the fuckend who disliked me for whatever his dumbass reasons were i'd still be working there, god i loved that job! Never short of drugs at that place!

are you putting the flyers on the mailbox itself? i hope not cause if caught it is federal time your taking a risk on doing. its considered tampering, you might wanna ask your boss if he will pay your legal fees if you get caught-up, and yes it does actualy happen. my parents work with the u.s.p.s. for 30 plus years. :hippy:

growing pot for multi-millionaires.. i was a landscaper on a lil island in maine.. one of my clients caught me smoking a joint.. he asked if i could get some from 'around here?' 'of corse i can' was the quick response..
by may i had 2 plants in buckets for him.. all top of the line buckets too, camo ya know? with nice soil and a hundo $$ a month 'planting allowance' i had fun that summer.. something like 30 lbs grown on his property.. and i always cut him a half pound and hook him up when he is around..
that was the best 'stoner job'..
btw the island has been in High Times a few times for crazy good pot.. that is where my family is from lol

I worked as a pizza cook and delivery driver in the same shop, and the owner was a stoner. My friend that worked always had ounces of dank, so there was always a lot of great weed. My God, did we get high all the time. I remember times of not being able to comprehend what words meant and trying to work. And the gut ripping laughter about the stupidest things. It was great. Sharing all this utopic desires you get when high with the narrow minded people. I loved it. I was 90% of the time high. My boss too.

The fun part was that, even when i was not working, like at a party or so... we were having a laugh doing all this sceneries. So... sunday at 1 am at partys i was comming up with the next best idea for selling those craps. I didn't felt it like a job.

Now it's a bit different, as i am the marketing manager for a french multinational and i must focus and direct end evaluate and plan and excelling, presenting, explaining, directing, coordonating... it sucks BUT... even though money is as good as it gets, i am considering downshifting. More time for enjoying life and nature, less time for managing and dealing with responsabilities.

I still smoke weed, but i am not enjoying it as i used too. My brain remains sober even if i'm hammered. Any advice?

Before I got hitched I drove tourists to Hana. I would take a qt oz and my fishing pole. While my people wandered around Seven pools I was down whipping a lure or live bait in the ocean, while smoking a fatty. As an added bonus every once and a while you would meet a unattached cutie. Or catch dinner.

After marrage I was a night security guard at Tuna Packers in Honolulu. There too I could fish off the pier and the captains of the boat would reward me for watching their boats with a free Ahi or Aku when they came in from fishing. My boss knew I smoked (and bummed joints from me too). So each night I would wander around the cannery smoking joints. It as a very peaceful place in a busy city.
