When To Harvest ?

im a new grower and i live in Indonesia (tropical climate)
i grew a seed in the early february and it grew perfectly till now, now they started to buds and i was wondering when should i harvest them, 10% of the buds are turning to flower, while the other 90% are still like glands and pocket which i guess will turn into buds soon, some of the glands have white spot which im also sure its the resin (not somekind of disease) i grew it out door with 12/12 light and tropical climate starting from 24c to 32c....


any suggestion when to harvest ? or any sign i should take notice before she is ready to chop ? this is my first plant and i really hoped it would worth smoking.....i would appreciate any suggestion

Mate If your In Indo And you planted in Febuary then its waay past done.
even if your indoor You should have harvestsed A lonng time ago.
You Need to know what Trichomes are and how to tell when there ready.
I dont Know what strain your doing but I have freinds in Sumatra and Papua.
who do both and there wayy done..?..

but from what i read cannabis have 6 month live period which mean it should be ready in august ?? or am i wrong ? my plants start to buds 1 month ago...

well tell me the rifht time to harvest by the sign of the plant which i can see... forget the live cycle.. just tell me the sign.. thx

yeah.. Noosa was right about the trichomes.. if you see reddish hairs on the buds, then its most likely time to harvest.. also notice the crystals, i believe if they look cloudy, its time.. and if its been under 12/12 light for 2 months, it definitely most likely ready to harvest..

I think Zandor's sticky is good...accurate.

But it should also be noted....

People prefer different types of buzzes.

The color of the trich will affect the type of buzz you get.

The more clear / cloudy ratios will result in very cerebral highs....

The more dark...amber colored trichs will give a much more physical...aka couchlock...high....which can make you sleepy, groggy, physically drained high.

I just think people should know that they have a choice when to harvest....and it doesnt HAVE to be at any particular point in time.

Its like eating steak.....

Most self proclaimed steak afficianados will tell you that steak is BEST when cooked rare or medium rare.

However another person will prefer it more well done.

The time to harvest is when YOU determine what kind of affects you want to experience.

A cloudy trich will deliever a different buzz from an amber trich.

Its up the the individual and their buzz preferences.

The underlying point however, is and remains, use the trichs as your guide...not the hairs.

Just make sure you see the color that you WANT to see for the buzz you WANT to get.

What is the percent for early and late harvest?

Iâ??m not into confusing people.

When the trichomes turn Amber the THC is degrading in potency and dieing off. The high will not last as long either.

Peak harvest is cloudy and thatâ??s a fact. Not all trichomes will mature as the same rate so I stand by my statement to harvest on the average of about 30% amber.

If you wish to experiment then an early harvest is about 10% amber and a late harvest is 80% amber.

I'll Pull a few early(never clear always cloudy)
and Yes Its a Defenet cereberal High.

I have pulled Off One Plant at different times and Had different effects.
I preffer a later Yeald with a couchlock get you SMASHED stone Myself.
so stick to the trichome development and you wont go wrong...

Actually I like the slightly amber color myself....i like to smoke and just sit there all stupid and shit and run the movie of my miserable life thru my head over n over.... :)

When I buy my weed, I usually keep the amber trics buds for myself and give the cloudy ones away to the 'friends' i have....
