I just saw the "I've never been high, plz help kthx" topic somewhere down this page, and it got me thinking about how I was before I started smoking, and when I first started. Then I thought the whole forum could join in reminiscing, because I'm slowly getting sloshed at 2:00 am.
I can't even remember the first time I was high, I just remember the first four or five times lumped together. I know that maybe the second time I ever did it, I was with a friend who was only a little more experienced that I was. We took a bag of shwag to my house and emptied a cigarette down the toilet to make a cigaweed, and we were doing so badly that we seriously considered using a funnel.
We smoked it out in the open (cause it looked like a cig), and that was when my 13-year-old mind began to rumble and wonder why it was okay for us to smoke this totally harmless plant so long as people think we're taking prepackaged poison. It seemed like we were eating pesticide, or at least that's how it looked to everyone else. Two 13 year old kids [supposedly] eating poison, and it was totally okay as long as it wasn't illegal.
Greatest revelation of my pot career (to date): THERE IS A SCHISM BETWEEN MATTERS OF "ILLEGAL AND LEGAL" AND MATTERS OF "RIGHT AND WRONG"
I didn't get the full effects of that, though, because I'd barely ever had smoke in my lungs before and I wasted a bit by coughing. I was pleasantly lifted, and I assumed that was all there is to it. I wondered why some people turn into hooting idiots with weed.
The next time I smoked I turned into a hooting idiot. I bought a dime from a kid who let us smoke in his basement with his green bong. I had to be shown how to use the carb and stuff, and I very nearly pulled a total party foul by coughing with my mouth on the bong. Luckily, I had just cleared the last hit so no weed was wasted, and no smelly water went flying. But it was close.
My friend from the other time was with me, and on his third or fourth hit he fell backwards and started yelling about how he had just felt like he was falling backwards in circles over and over again. He commented that it was good weed. I started to realize that my thoughts were reshaping his words (I'm mildly synaesthetic when it comes to words and numbers) in a totally different way from anything I ever felt, and it was all about as satisfying as breaking a person's neck with one punch to the head (I imagine that's very satisfying).
I'll add more as I think of it, but right now it's getting to be a hassle typing so much. Good smokin! :D
