ok so im looking up some lights and i come across some that i am considering. they are the energy efficient cfl's. well i come to find out they have a color temperature rating of 2700k, 4100k, and 6350k.

6350k is labeled as day light color. with this in mind i am wondering if the color temperature really even matters to begin with. i would think that getting the 6350k would be better if it did.

i ask this cause i am going to buy a mix of lights i will have some regular cfl's and i will have a couple of circular cfl's. the circular cfl's only have a color temp of 2700k but is a higher wattage and is adjustable.

my question is does color temperature even matter? or is the output wattage the most important aspect of lighting? cause if not then im not going to worry about it and i will go ahead and get what i was planning on. which would be the adjustable circular cfl's and the regular cfl's.

The higher the Kelvins the bluer it is. Lower being more red. For veg blue is good. For flower plants like red. Goodluck.

Also make sure they're full spectrum. That helps a lot too.

thanks alot and by full spectrum you are referring to the kelvin rating right? cause that would mean the adjustable circular cfl is the only full spectrum one since it is adjustable on the site i am looking right atm.

I'm not sure I just go by what HARDDON tells me and he says that it being 6500k does not make it full spectrum. Thanks HARDDON :D. Goodluck j111.
