Hey guys whats going on? Okay well right im going to the doctors soon cuz ive been having stomach problems, and now my neck is swollen for some odd reason. ANYWAYS, last time i remeber going to the doctor(before i smoked) they asked if i did any recreational drugs, and at the time of course i didnt so i said no. So heres my question when i go again soon, if they ask that question and i answer saying yes marijuana blah blah can that get me in trouble in anyway? I mean id rather be honest with the doctors(even tho i know none of this is cuz of maryjane). So yeah any help appriciated,
Thanks!, penguin :D

I wouldn't write it down anywhere, but I would mention it to the doctor if you felt it might in anyway affect what you're going in for. Like I wouldn't fess up for a broken leg, but maybe if I had a bad respiratory illness.

Theoretically you are protected by doctor/patient privilege ... but that's in theory.

my friend had some weird swollen shit on her neck, and the doctor asked her if she smoked. but that could have been just the standard rhetoric of questions and she was all paranoid.

no you won't get in trouble, as long as it is just you and your GP/doctor, everything you will say to him is very confidential, hes like a therapist to you, you should go to him more often not just about health problems, but as well as life issues.

Worry about your parents not the police. If you are under 18 they can tell your legal guardian about anything that goes on in the appointment.

Like Freebird said, unless the weed maybe somehow contributed to or worsened your condition, what does it hurt to deny it to the very end to someone who might not ever remember your name.

I went to the doctor on my own when I was 16 to obtain birth control, and My mom didnt have to be there and the doctor couldnt tell her. I told her, it wasnt a big deal, but doc cant tell, if he does, sue the shit out of him.

mhhh I always mention it, you never know if it might have something to do with your symptoms. indirectly or directly. let the professional decide.

then again. over here it's no biggy so what you say doesn't have similar consequences as anywhere else.

depends maybe on how pally you are with the doc.
good luck either way.

its better that the doctor knows aboot it. just say, yeah I smoke weed recreationally, if he asks how often then tell him. Cuz you never know, you might be prescribed something that causes you to break out in miniature Katie Courics all over your face if it gets mixed with weed...trust the pro on this one. As your doc he's not allowed to disclose anything about you or the appointment.

Yeah, they can't do shit. When I shattered my hand from hitting a locker, the 3rd or 4th question the specialist asked was, "Do you smoke?" I reply, "...not cigarettes." "What do you smoke?" "Cannabis."

Then, when I was about to be put under for the surgery the nurse asked if I did any drugs recreationally I said cannabis. Then I asked why they ask that question so much nowadays. She said, "Well...there was just recently (this was 2 and a half months ago, mind) a study done that shows that if you...say...smoke a joint just before going under, you could die. The drug that puts you to sleep could react with the THC chemicals in a bad way, and end up stopping your heart." I was like, "WEEEEELLLL, good thing I didn't smoke a joint before this. WHY DIDN'T MY FRIGGIN' DOCTOR TELL ME THAT BEFORE HAND!??!" =)

mhh if ya lymphs are swollen that means something in your body is fighting your immuunsystem. So whatever kicked yer immuunsystem is what is ur problem. Could be glandular fever or even HIV :P

aint the doc gonna fix ya?

Well i have a lot of acne(got a new pill and two cremes for it now)if you've seen from my pics, not as bad as the pics show. And he said that was most likely why they were swollen. Then i asked well ive had acne for awhile why didnt they do this before? All he said was "i dont know". Very Reassuring. Oh well i go back in a month. So its all okay. I will just have him look at them again. Also he said it didnt "feel" cancerous. I dont know how the hell you can feel if somethings cancerous but yeah.

ya i kno, thats why i put "etc..." in my last post. its not "fighting your immune system", your immune system is fighting "it" (what ever "it" may be)
