rust in pipe

well in a pipe i would say yess. i have a gravity b thast rusting but thast because of the water so is not really harmfull, jsut try to make sure the rust isnt burning.

yea the bowl isn't rusting, it's just the stem so it wont be burning. Man, i wish i could just get a real bong.

Just because the flame isn't against the rust doesn't mean its not getting hot... best to find a new pipe asap.

It seems to me that would be somewhat similar to cutting yourself on a rusty piece of metal...except you're inhaling it and...what goes in your lungs is passed to your blood.

You could always try and tell us first hand though, as an experiment.

well, i have two pipes... one is steel(i think) and rusty and one is copper. which one would be less harmful do you think.

rust is entirely harmless. when you cut yourself with a rusty nail, you are getting infected with tetanus not rust.

i tell you what you can do....get some WD-40 and spray it on there...let it set for a few hours, get a really stiff coarse wire brush and brush it and brush it until the rust is gone. after that clean that fucker reallllly good with soap and water. burn it til it gets really fuckin hot, wash it really good again then dry it with q-tips .....if you manage to get all the rust gone it should be fine

Well me and my friends have made bongs out of honey bear containers, its made with a real bong piece and a o ring or gasket or whatever the fuck you wanna call it, and you can sell those for bout 10 bucks, they work really good.

ok i understand that kinda thing....but most people aren't reproducing stuff that has been sold before.....in that respect i've sold glass beer bottle bongs before too made with real bong peices.....but when i think of homemade bong on here i get this picture in my head : 2 liter wtih some kind of tubing for the shaft, lots of tape/hotglue, and aluminum foil for the bowl....

dont smoke outta it, it will mess you up i have smoke out of homemade pipes before but never any that rusted or were rusty i got a glass bong so i dont have to worry get glass its the only thing you should even smoke out of or use papers instead
