View Full Version : Pick my seeds!

Ok, I am looking for a strain that is very short and squat, something good for a beginner, and most importantly low odor. Did I mention low odor? I know that Northern Lights fits the bill (although not with some hybrids?) but I'm trying to see if there are any other similar strains.

Also, Nirvana seeds seem to be the best for my needs. Any other recommendations?

Hey Sticky,

As far as I know, LowRyder is very short (12"-16" max), easy to grow in the sense that it only takes 8weeks from seed to harvest. It auto flowers, meaning it is not necessary to switch lights to 12/12, infact one should keep up 18/6 for resin production since it auto-flowers. Because of its height you might be able to grow under flouros, but stronger light is always better. The down side is they do not make very good cloning stock, and I've heard they are not the most potent smoke. Not sure about scent. A couple of threads below your is a guy called the Student who sells the seeds and I think he has some crosses of it to take care of any weaknesses if any, but then he could tell you more than me.

Peace

Hello,

I would also suggest Lowryder for your needs. There have been reports that the potency is not all that strong, but I know of several medical patients that will tell you different. This plant has a very unique place in the market, since it offers so many stealth options.

This is a rather low odor plant, that only really becomes noticable upon rubbing of the plant.

This plant is not cloneable in the traditional sence. There have been people that have been able to get clones but really clones defeat the purpose of this strain which is autofloweing.

Autoflowering is the plant reacting to age and not light cycles, so even if you take a clone it will still want to autoflower, therefore defeating the purpose.

Most everyone who grows LR seeds out their first crop, and uses them for future runs.

I do not sell Lowryder or LR crosses though. I just did a huge giveaway.

Go to www.highbred.net for all things Lowryder, you will find distributor lists there also. You can also contact the breeder of LR, Joint Doctor, there as well.

The crosses that are hitting the market are infact more potent than pure LR, but there are trade offs, most of the hybrids are turning out to grow taller, and impeading on stealth abilities.

I will be happy to help you with any questions you have either here or at highbred. I use the same screen name on both sites.

Take care

Peace

P.S. Northern lights is also a very good choice. If you by a NL cross (hybrid) you will be comprimising the low odor aspect.

Lowrider sounds great and I've been reading highbred. I'll be thinking about this for a little bit longer and let you know if I decide to go with LR. You'll know because I'll probably be asking my fair share of Q's.

Hello,

If you decide to grow out LR and are thinking of going hydro then check out my thread in the hydro section here. I am trying to get everyone interested in joining in the mass grow to grow out the same strain so that we may feed off of one another.

Anyway good to hear from ya.

Take care

Peace

Hello,

trippruss - Those are some beautifull looking plants. Are your seeds from Nirvana or Homegrown Fantaseeds?

I have grown out both in the past and have been pleased with both. The Fantaseed's plants were noticably more uniform, but they both produced ladies that loved to pack on the buds.

Take care

Peace

The Student: I'm not too familiar with hydro so I will be going the way of the soil. I'll have my mind made up by the end of the month so I will let you know. Thanks for the advice.

trippruss: Those plants look beautiful. No one notices them peek over the fence?
