I have been growing some plants outdoors for a while now, they are about a little more than a foot tall. i cant remember when i planted them lol.
Im pretty sure some of them are males but im not to sure. Some of them are producing yellow flowers . I dont know what they are and why they are there and when are they gonna start producing bud?

If it has released its pollen, does that mean there are females by it?

no, the males will release their pollen regardless of females.

if you see little white hairs on the plant it's a female.

how far can the pollen travel?

pollen can be carried by wind and insects.. if there's a female within 200 feet in any direction...and a male was left in the ground.. it'd probably pollinate it completely

thats rihgt bees travel 5 miles and more looking for pollen I've seen 4 distinctly different species of bee in my garden, Ive asked around but couldn,t find any one in my area who kept bees nor anyone who knows of natural bees nests, The nearest one I know of belongs to my sisters friends dad who is nearly 8 miles away as the crow flies
