There are many definitions of what a chav is.

They vary from the poetic to the very blunt.

Would this lad qualify? We're not sure. He's got a baseball cap but is that enough?

Most chavs are fucking pussies at heart. They try to impose fear but show them you don't care and they tuck their tail between their legs :D .
There's a couple of chav brothers down my road. This is a pretty expensive area so most families here are middle class but they still dress like a couple of filthy ratboys. They always used to try and say shit to me and my mates before I told them to fuck off a little while ago and they havn't done anything since. Bunch of pussies, chavs. :p

Hello Dear chap,
I recently frequented the High Street in Hemel Hempstead and saw a rather heffer of a chavette who to me was just the epitomy of a sexy little piece of totty. She was about 16 years old, had skin as rough as sandpaper covered in more make-up than a boots superstore, eating 3 Big Macs at the same time as a piece of chewing gum wearing a mini shirt (burberry of course) with a white cut-off top the just covered her breasts leaving her 23 hectares of stomach exposed in -3 degrees C and was pushing a double buggy with one black and one white baby who each in turn were clothed in Burberry baby-grow's and had their ears peirced about 18 times and had rather large Krugerands hanging off them.
My problem is that I am unsure how to â??pullâ?? such classy totty (well they must be classy - they wear burberry) that frequent our high streets as I fear that my training in the upper echelons of society for charming,wooing and courting young ladies may be a trifle out of touch - please advise?

OK, you guys say chavs choose to be that way? I'm sure they were bought up that way by "chav" perents, right? On that chavscum.co.uk website, it says chavs are the "unpleasant british underclass".... well that doesn't quite say that they chose to be that way. I'm sure they grew up with all those influecnes and bad parenting/schooling. Agree 100%, I lived with my mother and her partner from the age of 5 to 16, and was raised in a very good manner! Parents can do all they like, but it gets to a time whre its UP TO YOU which way you go!

On the other hand, I didn't see my dad until I was 10, (He was in the Shuvvel), and when he came out, He had his own Bar on Newcastle Quayside, but the lure of Alcohol was too much for him too resist!

I like to think I dont take liberties with people(how my mother raised me), BUT as I have got older I have gotten more like my Old Man! Before he got out of the shuvvel I didnt have a male role model, so when I got to know him I followed suit!!

Believe me, goths are irritating, but Chavs have the same problems (doing everything for show) except they fuck things up for show. Chavs choose to be the way they are, as Goths choose to be the way they are, but a lot of the mentality does come from their families. If someone has more than 3 braincells they should realise they don't have to act in the same way as their parents. They don't have to leave fridges in their gardens. Chavs are individuals only in a biological sense. They all think exactly the same, and are based almost completely on instinct.

They see their friends (pack) wearing a certain kind of clothes. They comply, for fear of being ejected from the pack.

They go everywhere in their packs.

They gain respect only be being "well 'ard." Just like most animals, especially those that live together in large groups. Like chavs.

Their thought processes are very basic. It is as easy to outwit a chav as it is to outwit a sheep. When chavs are trying to look tough when they are squaring up to someone, they stretch themselves as tall as they can, and spread their arms out. This is EXACTLY the same thing that geese do when they are trying to look tough. And the thing is, chavs actually believe that is proves that they are stronger or "'arder" then others.

The "'ardest" chav in a group will usually be the alpha male, they don't make group decisions as humans do, they are lead by one as animals are. There will usually be serveral females in a group, who are there for no reason other than the follow the males around. From the age of 12-13 they are used as breeding stock and will be swapped from male to male. This is seen as an achievement amongst the females.
