Are officers to quick to fire tasers?
This is nasty...
The Aug. 6, 2004 incident began as a normal traffic stop but took an ominous turn when the driver refused to get out of her SUV. It ended with a Boynton Beach Police officer hitting the 22-year-old woman twice with his Taser during her arrest.

Seems like she deserved it to me. She had a suspended license, he told her to get out of the car and she refuses, he told her to get off the phone and she refused, he reaches in to pull her out and she pulls away, so he zapped her. What else was he supposed to do? Say sorry and let her go?
There was a case here in the San Francisco area not too long ago where a woman called the police because her 15 year old son was trashing the house. Rather than send some big male cop they sent a female officer hoping she might seem less of a threat and would help calm the kid down. This was the big mistake since the kid was pretty good size and she was small. Anyhow, when she got there the kid was still going nuts so she told him to sit down and talk about it. He told her to fuck off and turned around to walk out the door. She told him to stop and he again told her to fuck off. She reached out to grab his shouldher and he spun around and pushed the cop. So she zapped him. None of the kids actions were disputed by anyone. The mother agreed it happened exactly the way the cop described it. The mother feaked out, however, because a taser was used and anti-police groups and the media jumped all over it. Again this was another case of what was she supposed to do? Just let the kid walk out and forget about it?
I think taser use by cops should definitely be monitored closely and all cases should be investigated. Any cops found to be using tasers excessively should be off the force. On the other hand, we are all responsible for our own stupidity. If a cop tells you to do something, do it. Even if they're doing something wrong and you are in the right. You can work that out in court later but at the time of arrest the cop is always gonna win. And if you do have any chance of beating them in court, resisting arrest is only going to help them.

maybe he should have shot her in the face right there?
you think he could have done anything else to get her out of the car? how on earth did police 'protect and serve' before this.
this is something i'd expect to see in a communist or fascist dictatorship.
