doesn't really matter right now, it's just growing leaves right? my plant wasn't on a particular pattern when it was vegging, i just gave it as much light as i could every day, usually 16-18 hours a day. it starts mattering when it flowers, then you have to worry about how much DARK it gets, at least 12 hours a day, which means you'll have at most 12 hours of light a day

Now that they are 1 week old and got their feet under them,so to speak,I think you could and should, scale em back to 18/6. Just like everything else, they need a chance to rest and do the things that they do,when they rest. I hope that you have an oscillating fan on them, for strengthening and respiration.

Have a good one ....

ok thank you,yes i have a fan but not shure if its oscillating as id dosen move from side to side it is square and has a grill on the front tho that spins and pushes the air slightly in different directions should this be ok ? i move the pots about too so that it isint just pushing them in one direction all the time

just put it on low and don't let it blow directly on the little sprouts, you'll know cause it'll move and try to blow over

i've noticed that the first week of growth occurs mostly in the dark, when it has time to rest as torog said, but keep the dark fairly minimal for the next 6 weeks or so (6 hrs dark per day for about 6 weeks is a good way to remember)

you can get a timer that will switch the light on and off for you if you don't have that already

if you're confused about what to buy, then search the internet first...i never go into something new without getting familiar with it by reading and reading...personally i don't have the money to go buy something and it not be the right thing, especially since most electrical hardware can't be refunded after it's open...
