Last week I took a drug test for a new job and it came back diluted and I had to retake it this past Friday.

This time, I only drank 1 glass of water and 1/4 of a lemon lime sports drink and hour and a half before and I passed my self test. I also had a cup of green tea an hour before but no other liquids after that.

Would this be enough to dilute my test? I urinated about three or 4 times before I went in and could barely fill the cup by the time I got there. When I did unrinate, it was a light yellow this time instead of clear. I know my creatine levels were good since I've been taking it when working out for the last several weeks.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Also, if it would happen to come back diluted, do most companies allow another re-test?

Would this be enough to dilute my test? That would depend on what your 'baseline' creatinine and S/G levels were before you began diluting - and youre not going to know this without testing yourself with a validity test kit.

How do you know this for sure, without testing yourself with a validity test kit?

Depends on the employer. Some employers will grant a retest, while some others will accept a negative/diluted as a "hunky-dory", while still others will simply move on to the next candidate for hire.

I'm assuming I passed. Last week, I got a call the morning after my drug test saying it was diluted. I re-took it Friday and never heard anything today until about an hour ago I got my on-boarding email and first day instructions!
