Ok so I'm going to use this as an actual log for my start up with new construction so bare with me there may be some time between postings but I'm hoping I can get some feed back from the community, I'm gonna set up a grow room with 3 stations a fair size veg room for side by sides until I find my absolute perfect set up I'm not scared of mess ups so we can have some fun here! A flower room, and a small shelf or work bench in one of the rooms for germ/clone, prep, tools, etc... I for now I'm gonna do soil, I'm gonna set up a scrog and sog both exactly identical conditions being the same veg room and such ill probably try to force through a quick little sog to collect clones throw them over to flower then pull my males and male clones and by that time ill be all set to do my side by sides on scrog vs sog, meanwhile Im putting together a herbies seeds mix n match order, I am thinking 3 of 5 strains that ill eventually pick favorites and do an isolated pollination to collect seeds for later as we can have some fun for now going through strain testing as well. I'm thinking my first order is gonna be Barney's liberty haze, Barney's tangerine dream, Barney's pineapple chunk, Mandalas Satori, and ghs super lemon haze... my wife and I are different I look for freight train to the face slam into an even head and body high that's more day/social smoke energetic go to work stuff, my wife like one hit like never before can't believe how stoned I am couch lock, so I look at all types lol but as soon as I get the seeds I want them to follow right behind these bag seeds I'm running through as a test runthen the good stuff I wanna do a soil run that get into bubbler then ebb n flow and so on lots of side by sides so as soon as seeds new seeds come we can get right into some solid myth buster fun and growing so if any one wants to see any grow styles side by side strain vs strain, lst vs scrog, scrog vs sog, scrog pruning vs scrog no pruning ANY AND ALL input and scenarios this community needs to see/settle disputes give me INPUT!! majority rules let have fun!!

Sorry for the typos sorry kind of flew through that but basically I'm looking for group participation I want to know what everyone out there wants to see! Input on how I set up my grow room, strains grow and smoke reports, if you wanna know a method works before u try it or which method is better etc LET ME KNOW ill try it post step by step so everyone can see the proof to back up any theories!! "Lets get together and feeeel alallrriiiiggght!!" Lol

Ok so I bought alot of materials I'm gonna post some pics here I set up my perm starter seed/clone cab for fun and just for a little something extra, I'm putting up a wall it will partition off 8.5x17 for me to play in, I have all the stuff I'm starting construction this week, I'm thinking at this point of three or four rooms since I wanna do vs. And experiment it will give me lots of rooms, it'll either be 3- 5.5ishx8 rooms or 4- 4ishx8 rooms, so I can do two veg and two flower, as far as actual use if u thin about it I was thinking a 2 ft wide walkway(lol sideways walk anyway) shaving the 8ft depths down to 6ft, I'm gonna run four inch ducting throughout with an intake and exhaust both carbon filtered(ill post u guys have to see my homemade carbon filters they are AMAZING!! easy, and dahm near free!!! Oh refillable and last forever!!) Multiple hang downs attached in each section for suction y'd to the lights to pull the smell and heat at the same time out and up my chimney, it will have four fans and four vents two from one end to the other through the lights with the hang downs to suck out the smell ill run probably 100ish cam's on each end with boosters in between just because of all the openings, then a fresh air draw in near the ground to another vent at the far opposite end up the chimney as well just for exchange, I'm running a co2 tank system, I haven't decided for sure on lighting yet I could use some input on the room size to wattage thing for Max yield, I'm thinking of housing anywhere from 5-20 plants depending on method in each room, I'm gonna line the whole deal with panda, as well as partition my rooms with it folded for light separation, now as far as lights go if they are only potent in so many sq ft per watt wouldn't it be best to maybe do panda up against where the pots start so the open walkway isn't a waste of light and decreasing plant concentration!?? Humidity is about 55% give or take and temp STAYS a steady 70°f but I'm sure light and vent systems will change that a little but I'm running a bunch of meters and stats to keep things very consistent and low stress I'm gonna start a sog in one room with give or take 15-20 flip lights to flower pull my males clone my females and I'm thinking of putting 4 or 5 under a scrog set up and the rest to veg again in sog help me out here!!! I want input!! Anyone wanna see a particular side by side!? Any suggestions on light!? Vents!? Panda film!? Anything!? Anything at all!!!??? Three rooms or four? One scrog room or two to alternate? One sog veg room to flower beside the alternating scrog that's flowering or a delegate room for them(that's where the three or four rooms comes in) come on people as for now the first sprout I had is moving beautifully with her second set of leaves hers some pics of the set up for now...

Panda film?
Yut, that works... I would suggest using some sort of light reflecting barrier on the sides and even the top to reflect the light onto the plants. I use cardboard sheets 2' x 4' painted ceiling white (they were mylar for a few years). I hang or prop these up around the plants to keep the light in. They are easy to remove to water the plants etc.

I would love to see some indicas and some sativas side by side with different nutes like organi vs synthetic. Also I have never benn to keen on fimming some side by sides of fim vs not fimmed would be useful for me.

02-25-2013, 11:10 PM
Ya me to that's why I'm eager to do it I'm actually just started synthetics grow nutes and have synthetics bloom for later I wanna do some micro supplements side by side to see how much of what does what so I have on the way(next week) Barney's pineapple chunk, Barney's tangerine dream, Barney's liberty haze, Mandalas Satori, ghs super lemon haze, delicious seeds carmello, and 10 freebies from the bank lol so 2k in and I'm ready to set up n run... I've got 8x16 decided into two with space on both ends for working around, cuttings prep etc I've got 4 1k light systems w.cool tubes 50' 6" duct, two tees I'm gonna do negative pressure by way of forced exhaust through the lights with a "T" aimed down into each room to pull air and scent, pulling from an outside vent to pull in my 30° f air across the lights to cool, on a 620cfm with controller to maintain desired temps, into a square 6x8 carbon filter fitted into a register boot out of the room and into the furnaces intake duct!! Save on heat!! I got #50 co2 tank with regulator, and controller 100' hose for dispersion I got 4- 5x4 table frames with screens for scrog and covers if I wanna use them for sog instead, timers surge strips etc 4 oscillating fans, enough panda to line everything and device rooms a greenhouse for germination and cutting that will go in the vanity from my earlier set up, the only thing I still haven't figured out is how I will share the air between the two decided rooms without letting light in!!! Because I don't wanna run separate co2 vents blah blah blah in each area!!! Any suggestions!? I had considered the staggered box thing but I want decent air transfer between rooms but without letting light over and I don't think a little square of air will be enough... but ya I'm getting ready to start building tomorrow!!

Ok so construction started yesterday... I was gonna post last night but it got too late n I forgot... so we got the wall up and the paneling, still needs a few more anchors but for all intensive purposes its up, all the new light systems are In as well as the 10'x100' roll for my whole room wallpaper lol ran all my wiring put in my co2 controller, and my co2 tank running lines for that, and my vents tomorrow, I cut the holes to vent my room through 4" of charcoal carbon and into the furnace intake! And ran that duct, so we are getting there!! Here's some pics to show progress

So that's where were at, like I said the end with the vanity will be a work area(to keep heat signifies away from basement wall) for germination clones prep and equiptment etc... the space to the left of it roughly 12'x8' is gonna be split for a veg room and a flower room.. we are getting there!!! The new seeds are supposed to arrive tomorrow! I'm hoping to have this done by the weekend germinate over the weekend and set up this grow for the long term on Mon mourning!!! Wooooohooooooo!! Lol ENJOY!! input anyone!? Questions!? I don't think I've had a single follower!? Kinda disappointing:wtf:

Will continue to Watch your grow room grow! Thank You for keeping this up.
CO(2)? I'll be interested in how you set up your lights, fans and exhaust, etc. Enjoying this thread.
My choice of strains to grow: Delicious NL x blue, should be a good medicine! Your Super Lemon Haze and Liberty Haze x Skunk. Sounds pretty good!, idk.
Which strains are growing?

Well right now I have bf tangerine dream, delicious carmello, delicious northern light blue, bf liberty haze all fem seeds and one of each planted one of each sprouted but I don't know if u saw I just posted a plant problem on them as I think my hydro guy sold me soil with spider mites!!! I'm hoping that they pull through they are moving very slow and I've been having an ongoing problem with Ph with the few other older ones, were after a few weeks they are dropping down to acid!! Like 4.0 or less grrrrrr!!! At the moment though I'm managing, and they are all somewhat healthy, healthy enough for me to continue to fix the problems anyways lol... but the room is going well I am almost done with the veg room and finished alot of the flower room today... I'm gonna post pics tonight as I could use some help here as well lol the veg room is perfect other than needing some type of table for under my lights that I can use at will so I can drop plants to floor as they grow, the flower room I'm having a really hard time lightproofing from its neighboring veg room, I finished venting all the cool tubes, trying not to set any red flags with the elec company lol by throwing on 5k watts in lights all one day out of the blue so I'm trying to ease into more n more power... I'm devided the veg flower rooms with black n white, and adhesive zippers so I can roll up the wall if need be, I have the cool tubes on 6 in duct from a chimney I put in so it pulls the 10°f air through the cool tubes and dumps them into the furnace I wanna do negative pressure rooms with just 10x10 vent hole intakes and big box fans for circulationim just having issues with co2 do I wanna run or not, do I wanna time vent or just run continuous right now its just continuous and I can keep temps at 76-78 cosistant with this set up but if I turn off everything and just use fans for internal circulation temps have been getting unmanageable at like 94ish so I'm trying to work the kinks out still that's why I'm contemplating not doing co2 right now with the amount of time I spend in there I've been watching and my co2 has been between 500-800ppm without supplementing so I might jist see how that goes for now but I do want the benefits in yield!!! Ahhhh I don't know what to do lol

Oh I forgot I have to non fem Satori seeds that have sprouted too say ya that's this run in 2-3mo I'm gonna start vegging the pineapple chunk, and liberty have along with as many clones from this veg as I think I can manage at that point lol... anyone have any suggestions on tape to seal out light from seams of my poly in the flower room, I have some pin holes and some staple holes and light coming in through the zippers and the seams which I need to block I was just gonna use duct tape but I don't know if that's a good idea or not... also I'm in the process of putting up a shelfs in the veg room for all my stuff that's piling up in there lol and one for a cloning station/bench with a chair so I'm comfortable it'll be my smoke spot too lol, I got the scrog tables done too, and half of the white done on the flower side since I had the black facing in on the devider piece, I'm gonna post pics in a few...

oh and I also plan to start an are for seed production, I don't wanna buy seeds at 12$/ea ever again! Nor do I wanna try to maintain 100strains of clones at all times to keep my favorite strains around lol so ill be using colloidal silver on 1ft clones of all my best phenos beside another of the same or other strains for my hybrids in little sealed plastic greenhouses with filtered intake and exhaust powered by computer fans in the outskirt lighting in the veg room beside the seedling cabinet...

Thae first set of pics was the vents n lights in the veg room, the second set was flower room and a pic of its light leaks, around vent ant through the room zipper, which I'm thinking if I tape in the white poly up around that one it should seal up the few leaks mostly and if there's any life ill fix it hopefully however I'm getting light through the cool tubes from the vent!? Anyways these next pics are the veg room and the open corner beside my seedling cab is gonna be a clone station with shelves above it for my supplys.... so here's the veg room oh and the scrog table in the flower room is 4x4, and the room is 6x8 I'm gonna do a few rows of sog beside the table there... and I also have a 3 piece top for the table incase I want more space for sog

Ok so in the last pic there you can see I repotted my bigger girl, now it turns out she wasn't say rootbound but she was close to it, after repotting in attempt to stabilize the Ph it came up from less than 4.0 to 5.0 after flushing like hell with 7.0 water but I can't get it any higher, I need to go get some Ph up I guess but I really didn't wanna do that as the fox farm soils aren't supposed to do this!!?? I don't get it the soil ball looked like it was covered in salt n I hadn't been giving nutes, I had given nutes three time in a month at 1/5th strength so I don't see how it could be from that!?? But after loosening alot of the old soil and repotting in fresh 6.8 soil and watering with 7.0 I really don't see how it instantly drops to 5.0!? What the hell am I doing that's slowly turning my soil to acid again n again!!?? Blaahhh!!!

Your not re-using soil are you? And I always rinse my ffof before putting my plants in it, that soil is awesome, but it's super hot. I have also ran into bad batches of soil where I could just not get the ph in check. I went back to my hydro store and they gave me a new bag of soil. After that I bring my ph meter right to the store and poke it through the bag to get a quick reading. There is so much debate about ffof and getting bad batches, people think it cant happen it not possible, but it is.

So as far as my rooms go I sealed everything up turned on the co2 and its looking like the perfect room is gonna be my route, due to current problems construction has slowed anyone care to help check out my plant problem threads bare with me as I'm try to stay patient but its looking like I may be starting over due to the fact that the current problems will probably wipe this crop out, here's my current cut n paste...
Ok so check this out... is this from the Ph causing lockout in turn showing nutes deficiency or is this from the root aphids some input... and here's my info to hopefully help me get some more responses...

You are spot on bud even my hydro guy truer to tell me that bad ffof is impossible, he was a complete jerk offering no compensation for 200$ worth of soil and basically telling me I was an idiot!!! I wanted to knock his head in but I held back and walked out with my chin up, but yes ur right through this I've found alot of people have had this issue, and other issues since they recently changed where the get there dirt from, alot of people are disappointed but I've always used it and don't even know what else I'd try, I've seen alot of people getting poorly mixed(big clumps) turning bags extra hot etc... but thank you so much the feed back really puts me at ease and I certainly need it lol!!!

Oh and by the way no I'm not reusing my soil...
Also so aside from all these problems aside, I'm really looking forward to doing side by sides, now since I have two rooms, one for flower and veg I'm trying to figure out how I can do this as I'm geeking excited to do some scrog side by sides and sog too.. now without putting alot of thought into it I originally was thinking I'd just veg on one side under a screen until time to flip and have clones ready for the screen on the other room and start them as soon as the other one goes into flower and I could just alternate moving my sog plants back n forth to what ever meets there needs but as it turns out I had to set the rooms up differently now I don't know how I could do this!? I had thought about adding a third room for sog but then I could only do one cycle(one room for flower and veg) which I don't wanna do or use a third room for scrog but in the same sense I would also have to go through a full cycle before starting another which I don't wanna do, I've even thought of rolling scrog tables but I wouldn't be able to get to 4x4 table past eachother to switch sides lol any ideas!??? Someone help!! Lol

If you werent doing SOG id say get a tent or build a decent size box...def a problem , but my grow experience is still pretty limited so probably should wait for someone with experience in growing scrog and sog. Soon i will be expanding my knowledge to those grows though. Good luck im excited to watch.

Ok so in simple turns I just went through 4 bags of ffof and every single one of the 2.0cu.ft. bags had a run off of 4.0 brand new.. ALL OF THEM.. after frustration I flushed a pot from each bag with straight Ph up(no plant in it just new soil being prepped) then I found that my two bags of happy frog were the same, frustrated after dealing with the hydro guy earlier and all my problems I decided to try a new hydro shop(I LOVE now btw) they were great but so irritated with this problem I bought 4 kinds of soil, two different kinds of roots(comparable to ffof, and ffhf) I got Humboldt earth, and I got pro mix, all these bags(soil tested) at the store with a ph of 6.8-7.1 all of them... since I love Aurora products I was excited to try the roots soils... but guess what every single bag I got toiday was the same¡!!!!!¡¡!!¡¡!!¡!!!¡!!???? Could not get them higher than 5.0 even with straight Ph up flush!!!!??? Off topic I also bought new gallons for my side by sides:-D I got dyna gro qts grow bloom n the micro, I got Aurora's soul line(which I have been running forever n LOVE) the grow, bloom, infinity, big swell, and peak, and aminos all in gallons!! I got Gen hyd Biothrive line, the Bio root, the grow, bloom, Cal/mag, n Bio bud, all qts.. And the fox farm trio soil, and fox farm connissour... talk about blowing ur wad!!! I'm broke now!! Back to the matter at hand I called around, realizing my original decision that it was a bad batch of oceans was wrong as its the same in all the soils three hydro shops told me run off is always two points below(which I don't believe cuz I've never seen that) so if its 4.5 om perfect cuz that means its 6.5, I called fox farms, Humboldt, dyna gro, and Aurora they all said it could be chunks of hot soil not mixed in multiple bags caused those bags to be too hot, they said the compost could be moist and re composting causing it, some said ignore the run off they are good soils just regularly water with 7.0 and ill be fine that it will maintain cuz the soils are made to, some said theres too many ingredients the soil runs across before run off that are hot i wont get acurate reading anyway, they ALL said run off should not be tested because it extremely inaccurate and I shouldn't believe this reading to test the soil itself, and Aurora said they're roots soil gets real hot when most due to re-composting to open the bag and let it breath over night and it should go way up n be ok once it starts to dry out again, like I said all the soils at the store before watering were at 7.0 -/+ .2, I tried all different waters nothing changed it.. I WILL GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS!!! and after losing my head probably a grand worth of this season down the tubes and all this round crazy exciting and expensive strains, I have to figure it out, and be able to help some peeps along the way!!! PLLLLEEEEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEE someone ANYONE!! INPUT!!??? I test with Ph drops so its not calibration either, all soils brand new, tonight ill let all the soils breathe and dry out and see if that helps like they said, but I doubt it anyone seen this anyone know what I'm seeing? What's going on?:wtf::mad:l:beatdeadhorse::beatdeadhorse::beatd eadhorse::cursing::beatdeadhorse::beatdeadhorse::c ursing:

Well Indi, the title of this thread is "Anyone Wanna See..." That didn't make me want to read any further and I wouldn't have given it another look but I've been laid up sick and have lots of time to kill.
I believe I may have answered you on a different thread about this? I'm not convinced that your pH measurements are reliable and that is where I'd look first. I don't believe anything but a lab quality instrument, two of them if the measurement doesn't make sense. Good luck, Bub.

sounds like youre having all the same trouble i was bro. ph is fickle bitch and drops arent that reliable.and it sounds like your water has some funk goin on. you need to know whats in your water. is it heavy in salts or metals? that ruins ph readings.
ive been screwing around with it since november and im just now getting somewhat reliable conclusions. in my case i use ffof and if i filter my water and adjust the ph, my soil runoff ph will rise and so will the water when it sits. if i do nothing to my water at all
my soil runoffs will be very low. and that is using water at ph 9.3. the runoff will be in mid 5's. so to compensate for that now im boosting my ph a bit, sounds counter-intuitive but so far the plants are responding. im not saying that this is a solution for you but you need better info on your water than drops will give you and not just ph you need to now your ppm and ec levels. a good meter is a necessity.

these 4 all had problems stemming from very low ph.
this one only gets ph adjusted(6.5)
290308
this one gets ph adjusted 7.5
290309
this one gets ph 8.5
290310
and this one is at 9.3 as soon as it dries a little im going to bump that a little now that i have some descent ph buffers

they all have some degree of yellowing and necrosis with the major exception being the last one. those pics are from a couple days ago also and the first is still declining and the other 2 are about the same as they were. the run offs on the first three are all over the place. the last one comes in at just fluttering between 5.9 and 6 so i figure if i push my tap water up towards the high 9s i should get a better run off. they will all start the higher ph water this week so i should know for sure if it worked by next week since i already know down adjusted water is killing them.

Indi -
The problem isn't that people aren't trying to help. The problem is that your discounting their advice. Myself, as well as at least 4 others have told you it's a PH issue. Your discounting our advice saying it can't possibly be a PH issue, instead of solving the problem.
Use a soiless mixture (since your using nutes anyway) and go from there. Here is a good basic mixture:
50% Coco fiber
30% pearlite
20% silica/peatmoss/anything to hold moisture However you can cut this out and go with 50/50 coco/pearlite
You won't have any hot issues, from there you only need to balance your nute PH and your golden. In all honesty, these materials should only run about $50 for about 10 square yards, and coco fiber is easiest to work with when wet/moist.
You shot down EVERYONE telling you that you have a PH issue, discounting their advice. PH Drops are not reliable. Get yourself a meter, calibrate it, and then follow the advice you've been given.... If you were right about your problems Indi, you wouldn't have any. Keep that in mind please.

I have been nothing but grateful for every response.. shovel handle has helped me on another thread yes with a generic generalized responded about the soil and until these last responses no one told me Ph and if they did it was a completely generic answer I MYSELF openly said I DO have a Ph issue I'm asking how to fix it! Not what it is, as I know what it is, I'm also trying to figure out if the marks on my leafs are a specific deficiency or an insect or a burn... I appreciate any help from anyone and if it sounds like I'm dismissing anything I'm sorry but why do you think I've been going to such great lengths to adjust Ph if I'm dismissing!? Also every sticky on the topic on this site says ingoing soil Ph should be withing a few points of run off so how are you supposed to accurately figure out ur run off? I have taken my soil and put straight Ph up through it and still haven't seen it above 5.0?? As u guys said I'm gonna buy a new meter to check Ph but what will be more agitate to read my run off/ or should I be testing the soil? I can't afford a blue lab, what else would be recommended? I just got a Hanna promo ppm meter and my tap water is at about 200ppm and I have high iron and have had my water tested and told everything is safe, but iron is high, but like I've said before, I have been using distilled water with equilibrium, and if the drops aren't accurate then I have no idea what my run off is as even with Ph up there's no soil I've seen(8 brands now) that will run off higher than 5.0 with drops I'm just trying to figure out how to fix this not to mention the happy frog had brought in those pests that I'm STILL trying to treat that could be adding to this problem? Or could be the actual problem!?

dont you find it odd that 8 brands of soil all gave you the same reading with drops? thats pretty hard to believe. and im a little curious how it could possibly have lowered pure ph up to 4 or 5. that sounds like your drops have lost their potency or something. unless you ran a very small amount of ph up thru a very large amount of soil it should have still read very very high. hanna makes good meters but i wouldnt get a real cheap one it will only add to your headaches. i would also suggest getting rid of the vinegar. it is a pain in the ass, it doesnt stay stable and it has a ton of salt in it....

I just have the vinegar in the grow room, in case lol I've never actually had to use it I can usually balance my ingoing Ph with my waters n nutes easy enough, up is really the only thing I need and its really only needed for the recent flushing to try and fix my recent problem, and as far as the drops ya tell me about it!! 8 brands ya!! No joke and that was my first thought but if that were the case all the water I have been testing wouldn't be right and the drops react with my water the way they should dropping with vinegar raising with Ph up its only run off doing this!!??

run offs can be a pain too. water doesnt just run straight down thru the soil it follows the easiest way down and drags what nutes or salts etc it hits along the way.
something is way off either the drops are screwed up or there is something in your water that is reacting with something in the soil. 8 soil/nute companies wouldnt be around very long if there soils were constantly toxic or contaminated. what do yo know about your water table and groundwater seepage? didnt you say you have a well? maybe there is something leaching into it. doesnt mean that it makes it unsafe for drinking etc. but it doesnt mean that there might not be something weird in there.

Yes that has been my thoughts too, but like I said for about a month or so now I've been using distilled water... with equilibrium instead of my well water...
But lets work this out!! So I went out today and bit the bullet and bought a blue lab, as well as everything needed for an read set up, I'm going to put my first stage plants from my rapid rooters into a hydro set up, I think I'm gonna do mix runs, now that I have all the proper equipment, I'm hoping to solve my soil problems, being that I like to run 4 or 5 strains at a time its not ideal to have that many hydro set ups for each strains specific needs so ill run my similar feeding strains that are my favorites in the hydro set ups and keep the rest in soil to have control on all their nutritional needs, I think it'll be fun and a good learning/teaching opportunity, ill keep my logs going in detail and hopefully give and get feedback regularly, ill post back tomorrow with a hydro set up pics and the dig on the current soil situation as to new questions/solutions, also the insect issue is almost completely cured I'm just spot touching as to make sure no more eggs hatch and breed in-between... all the plants are showing signs of new growth and we seem to be pushing ahead I'm gonna go through some thorough Ph testing and setting up my hydro system tonight, I have 4 jock clones ready for veg planting, as well as a northern light blue and a Barney's pineapple chunk... anyone experienced in the strains I'm running to know wich ones would feed similar enough to put into the hydro to share a Res?? Currently have Barney's tangerine dream, Barney's pineapple chunk, delicious carmello, delicious northern light blue, mandala Satori, and jock all going in various stages..

What kills me the most here mal, is the simple fact that on principle ingoing water should be very comparable to runoff, and if we are battling this rather than solving it we are essentially stunting growth over an extended period of time to the extent of the extremes!? That's why I get so finicky to hear a response on how to FIX, as yes we are treating the problem but u said since November I've been battling for almost two months that means first the stress is so high we are almost guaranteed to hermie with such extended periods of stress and two we are losing months of precious grow time that potentially cost a yield decrease of as much as 50+%!! I'd almost rather try thugs to fix it until I do at the risk of the plants and if they die empty sanitize test run until I have unquestionable environment then start fresh rather than finish out a crippled run with crap results and not be able to get back the time lost that was to end up starting over in the end anyhow ya know!!??

Ok so I calibrated the blue lab, so it turns out Gen hyd. Ph drops(two different bottles) read the water ok actually pretty close to right on track with the blue lab but... I watered ALL the different soils I had with ph'd 8.7 distilled water with equilibrium, and guess what!! The Ph drops read 5.0 EVERYTIME!! but the blue lab is ranging between 6.4-7.0 right on the money now being that I was watering with higher Ph it tells me the soil may be a little low but its not my problem... the drops were as I said they ARE accurate as far as testing water but as soon as water hits soil then drops bam it doesn't read anything but acidic!?? So the soils in the grow are actually close to ideal randing throughout the 6's but they had to have been low as I was watering them Ph up more a while now, however due to all the insecticide watering and trying to pb the water guess what's up now!?? Lol we have mold through all the soil with current plants... so... as much as I hate to think it I'm gonna transplant again with my fingers crossed and if they make it amazing if not it'll kill me but I will be sprouting the back up beans( as I do have a decent many more of all my strains) and hopefully either way next week ill be back on track and in good conditions, I'm halfway through a light 5 bucket rdwc set up ill post on later. But for now with ALL THE CRAZY HELL I've been through with this issue I'm hoping that aside from me this can help SOMEONE!! LOL anyways for future reference if some one could just help me with this one basic principle... now that I have accurate readings... for Max plant growth and nutes absorption, before watering what should I be doing to know were to Ph my in going water to not shock roots?? Should I be taking a soil sample and testing it and adjusting water to that? Just sticking the meter in the soil? Or just watering at 6.8ish and adjusting each upcoming water to the previous runoff results? Any advice would be amazing!! Thanks everyone for the help much appreciated and ill be on to hopefully a happy log for all to enjoy!!!

To be honest with you I barely ever check run off, unless duty calls I think its pointless i keep my water at 6.5 all the time when it goes through the soil, im not gonna lie have never really had much of a problem with ph in soil it stays pretty stable.ok now to the problem what have you ammended your soil with sometimes you just gotta give it a few good flushes and that run off will become more stable. I have learned that some soil additives such as roots organic will cause you to have a low run off in the 5s, im speaking from personal experience as long as you keep the water and nutrients at a 6.3-6.4 going in ur fine it will level out, I have never had a ph problem yet . Good luck hope i could help. Ps in my experience the droppers are alaways a little lower when they read next to a ph pen

Thank you guys for helping me get back on track, most seems good, as my insects are all gone (knock on wood) as of right now, and I have been seeing good growth... but due to trying to fix my issues as I said before I know have moldy soil hence my last pic I posted, and with the fast growth and beings I was just watering with ph'd water I'm showing what I think is some definciencys... I'm gonna post a new thread plant problems to try to get some ideas.. and again THANKS!! you guys dug me out of a whole!! And me being me put myself in a new one on my own lol...
