Whats better for starting bulbs, a 100 watt bulb with 1,700 lumens, or an enhanced spectrum bulb with 1,400 lumens? I wont be growing for long with these type of lights, but just long enough till my plants can go outside. And is it better to use a soft whit bulb or an unfiltered one?
(Please only reply if you know the answer or could suggest another cheap alternative)

11$s I got my 42 watt (roughly 150 watt output) Florescent from home depot. Get that it works wonders for when the plant is still a baby.

Is this a test?
Your basic 100 watt incandescent bulb is too weak on the blue spectrum for good indoor starts. You would be far better off with the CFL lights as you can get them within an inch of the plant top as long as you have a fan blowing the heat off the bulb.

flouros are the sprouts best bet. u can have them anywhere up to an inch away without heatburn.

In your picture, one of your plants is named "whore" and the other "cunt" ?
Seems kind of insultive for such nice plants.
