Question about random D.O.T drug testing

Hello everybody, i have browsed these forums for a while and this is my first time posting, because i have not been able to find an answer my question. A week ago i took a DOT drug test/physical to get my clean bill of health card, and passed the test no problem. I do not have a job yet, and cannot even begin a job search until ~2 months from now because of school. So i am wondering, can i be drug tested by the DOT during those 2 months? Or not until i actually get a job? Obviously i will have to take a pre-employment test but i am concerned about the period between now and when i get a job. If it helps i live in Illinois. Thanks in advance for the answers and if you need anymore details let me know.

You could be if you went through a check point or had an accident. Even the school could do it if they had reasonable suspicion that you were under the influence. Thats if you are actually driving a truck.
If you're not driving a truck then you just fall under the same rules as anyone with a drivers license.
