Ok let me say that first off, the forum has been a big help to this grow, I really appreciate all the advice and all your nice things and incredible thoughts!! Shout out to Jina. Truly a plant saver!!!
Well I sarted the grow on the 30th of March 2012. This includes the germination (the seeds took about 3 days to germinate). By April 2nd my plant had sprung. I'm only doing one. Then once its started outside I'll include my second and third and all the way up to my seventh. Anyways from April second the plant had sprouted. I moved it into my windowsill and I waited, watered, and considered singing to it. (Btw this seed is in Miracle Gro) and it is planned on being grown 100% naturally. But by the next day the plant was about 1 1/2 inches tall. Shown in my pictures of course (:. I took my plant on April 4th and started putting it in the window during the day but moved it under a 40 watt desk lamp during the night. This gave me great results. After the first night it had grown 1 whole inch!! By the next day I was told by a friend on the forum here, ThePinkJina, that I should consider putting the plant beside a small fan. So I did, I put it behind a fan on my computer and let it sit behind during the lighting period. Not a lot of noticable results have come along, beside the plant starting to slightly bend. Now we are at my current time were its about 4 inches tall and looking dark green and super healthy! The only thing I'm not sure about is the strain! I need to know this badly to decide the area for my growing area outside. I'm also currently balls deep in "The Grow Bible". SO I'm truly learning a lot right now!! The forum has been my biggest help and I figured I'd pay back by showing a detailed grow "Catalog" if you will, haha.

Week 2!
It's the start of week 2, and this baby is a beaut!! She (hopefully) is tall and slowly starting to bush out. I have moved to a 18/6 lighting schedule. Planning on starting a few more. Time for a new pot? Not sure!!

P.s. Thinking about adding a blacklight. Also is its April, still frosting, what month to move outside, I'm thinking mid May. Unknown though because by then she could be way too big... So...
I may be topping this thing and letting it bud indoors. It's only 1 plant anyways.

yeah mine was like that starting off aswell. was just using the sun for the first week then stuck a few household energy saving bulbs in a box and its doing pritty good. will be upgradin to a 125w cfl light next week. cant wait to see the difference it makes.

Help me out here man. What exactly is a CFL? does it need a seperate ballast, if not I'll buy some and start it indoors considering this is just 1
Thanks

the cfl is a compact flourescent light. they dont give off much heat at all thats why their good for keepin close to your plant so they dont stretch, their self ballasted. pritty cheap aswell. lots of people hate on cfls but if your in it for personal smoke and nots too fussed on the amount u get then id go with them. their much easier to work with.

If you were to get the cfls make sure you get the blue spectrum (6500k) for the veg stage and the red spectrum (2700k) for flowering. the more the better! the plants i have now are basically a starter for me, goin to try my best with these see how they get along. their all bag seed. have one choco chunk. the oldest one, a chronic wich is nearly 2 weeks old, and a pineapple chunk which is a few days old. have plenty more bagseeds aswell so hopefully a few turn to be female. but when i do get going im hopin to harvest a autoflower atleast every 4 weeks. Il be F*****G Landed!

Well since they are self ballasted does that mean they can be plugged directly into the wall. Thanks for putting up for my ignorance lighting is my weak spot! Lol. I'm builiding an indoor grow box. So cfls will prolly be the ch
eapest easiest alternative

F***** up the grow last night, I moved my plant under my boxspring and set up my lights. Also changed the grow container of my plant. This was stressing enough. Although the root ball was still intact, it stressed the plant out. Then once me and my cousin finished the new grow setup we left for about 30 minutes. The damn light fell on my plant and burnt the top and all the new sprouting branches. This stressed it out even more. So I topped it, fertilized it with goat feces and I am prolly doing the epsom salt and water thing to revive my baby.
Also started germinating 5 more bag seeds. I will post pictures of the grow area and the plant... :D
If this plant dies- lesson learned. If not- this babe getting pampered.

Lol G, I stressed it bad. I moved it, the day it got moved into its new home the light fell on it.. Burned all the top leaves.. So I figured I'd cut all that off that way it wouldn't waste time trying to save itself and it could start fresh. It was a true learning experience.. Hahaha. Yeah too young. But I did it for the best.. It's sprouting new nodes though! :)

Her's an update:
The plant sprouted new nodes and is back to healthy, made a compost/fertilizer and put a light dusting of that on it, and added a nice fan to circulate the air. My baby is being positive. Doing good for a slop job rescue and chop off on the thing. Here's some pics!!

This is not how the light is usually on, that's just there for the picture. It's usually over top of the plant.

It's amazing just how resilient there plants are! You can put them through hell, and they usually bounce right back.
I started out indoors with T-12 fluorescent tubes and CFL's. Don't believe the Flouro/CFL haters, you can grow really nice plants with them. You will need several CFL's for each plant for the best results though. I still use CFL's for supplemental side lighting. If you're using a regular incandescent light bulb, it would be best if you switch to something better as soon as you can. As you're already observing, the plant is stretching quite a bit. That's most likely because the bulb isn't producing the proper light spectrum. In this stage of growth (Veg) the plant needs more blue light. As Adiitaff said, if you can get your hands on some CFL's in the 6500K range, you'll be good. 5000K also work pretty well, but 6500K are better.
Did I read that you put some goat manure in with your plant?? It's really not a good idea to use any kind of un-composted (fresh) manures. I don't recall the reasons why, but I'm positive it's N/G. You might not want to do that anymore. Also, different manures have different NPK ratios so be sure to use the right ones at the proper stage of plant growth. For instance, while it's good during Vegetative growth, you wouldn't want to use goat manure during the flowering stage.
Here's a link for some manure NPK values:
NPK Values in manures (http://goatconnection.com/articles/publish/article_84.shtml)
Can you get your hands on a thermometer and a hygrometer? They're imo the two most important tools for an indoor grower. You'll have the best, fastest growth in Veg if you can keep your temps below 78 degrees, and humidity over 55%.
Crap, I gotta run. I'll try to stop back later.

Hey Gnatty! Her's what's up: I have a plant under 2 20 watt spiral bulbs, 2700k a piece. This isn't the best but it seems to be helping the plant bush out and grow healthy. They are sprouting beautiful dark green nodes. The fertilizer I'm using is a mixture of ash, miracle gro, a very small amount of goat droppins, some old straw (rotting) and some rotting leaves. None of it is extremely fresh and it has that rotting smell. The thermometer I have, consistent 72-78 degrees and the hygrometer I do not have. I will be getting some new lighting, as an experiment, and I'll show you details. These will be 2 ballasted heat lamps, 40 watts, 6500k lumens. Nice lights, they are a gift from a neighbor! SO I'll be working hard to set that up. I'll show the new lights once I get em. Thanks

Thanks Derail! Planning on hopefully get 12 more in the ground!! Haha we'll see though. I wanna work on getting a cloning thing set up. But I'm doing a little more reading. Then we'll talk clones. I tied the plant down and it looks great!! Not even stressing. This makes me so happy because its been stressed so much in such a little time period.
Pics tomorrow night I hope phones acting wack.
