Gas prices always go up before the holidays.... You usually notice the price will go up about two weeks before the holiday and then go back down about two weeks after the holiday.... It's a rollercoaster controlled by the companies who know people will drive somewhere for each holiday so......yeah, capitalism.... Up for the days they know people will pay....and down for the days people will complain....

Was $2.88/gal this time last year. Tonight in my area is up to $3.79. Outrageous!

What is everyone else paying? Chime in, just curious!

Oh, and that is for my high miles per gallon slow (pedal drive-scooter) 4 cylinder!:(

Since I have about 0.0001 (almost nothing) of an interest in some sort of oil share (inherited-mineral right) in Oklahoma: I can tell you, I see the figures-$ ain't going to person that owns it! Feel like I have a right to say- :S4: to Haliburtion. The dough is in taking it out of the ground and the workers doing it are getting low wages for it. Maybe seems like good wages to some, but dangerous work!

As I drove across county last Aug. I saw a bunch of Haliburton trucks at the roadside in OK, big expensive rigs! Guess they are into the fracking now! pr
