Hi everyone been loving the forum and pictures people have been putting up. I have picked up on loads of ideas already so thank you for that!
I'm kinda new to this, I did grow a plant before but left it too long so I want to get it right this year (if i'm lucky).
Really I just want clarification as a lot of you are masters in your art and probably seen these things before.
With the first picture i have a growth coming out of the V, I'm still scratching my head but if i'd had guess it would be a side branch coming out as the picture shows a similar characteristic of other growing branches. I've seen a couple of examples on forums but none really go into detail and most throw it out thinking it to be a male.

The other picture shows a scene from aliens, i would like to think of them as females but no doubt it's too early to tell?
