Everything I have read says to flush plants 1-2 weeks prior to harvest and I understand why but, I am trying to keep things simple so I was planning on using Fafard potting mix. It has time released nutes for 4 months. My babies will not be in it that long and I also want to use FF Tiger Bloom but do not want to over feed. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't consider myself an expert by any means...but I would suggest using Fox Farm's Ocean Forest or FF Happy Frog. Unless Fafard is a quality soil I havent heard of (which is very possible), that would probably be your most productive option.

In my current grow im using 2 bags of it for around $40 and they filled 6 5 gal pots with plenty extra. If you put the little extra money into it youll get more out of your bud.

Just my opinion. Hope I helped!

Sorry...maybe I'm just really high, :stoned: but how is flushing complicated? LOL

If you want to use a time release pre-ferted soil mix, be careful it's not too "hot"...I'm not familiar with that brand, but watch the NPK levels (should be clearly labeled on the bag)...also if you want to use additional nutes, you will HAVE to learn to read the plants and know when they've had enough...too much is not better! If you must add stuff, do it in a very diluted form, and watch the plants and how they react to it...if your going to do it this way, study and learn to recognize early signs of nute burn and other problems you may create...so if KISS is your motto, then actually keep it simple and if you re-pot on schedule, (didn't think about re-potting, did you?) and use pre-ferted soil, you shouldn't ever have to add anything, ever, as the plants do not stay in it long enough to use it up to begin with! If I were you, I would study up on transplanting and why it's done...you have time...Hope this helps! G/L!

Thanks for the input. I really like the thought of using all FF products, the problem is that the closest I can get their stuff is 2.5 hours 1 way. Unless I want to pay double with shipping cost to get it online. The nutes are much cheaper to ship and I have read many posts and grow logs from people using the Fafard with great success.
