View Full Version : My plant is to big how do I cut it smaller?

Hey guys my plants hieght is to big. The lights arent getting all the way to the bottom. I saw a post where a guy cut his plant smaller and it still was growing how do I do that. Right now my plant is in prudcing stage so buds are growing but they are small but that is for another post.

I wouldn't cut on your lady at this stage...you can strap her down though.

he may not have a choice. Learning curves suck ass dont they. In general, you veg for no more then half as long as you want the total height of the plant. Flowering will double plant height. So if your plant is too big in veg, then it will be a jungle in flower. Since your early, I'd figure out a way to either bend the stalks or cut away if you need too. Doesn't do you any good to have a ton of bud sites that wont get any light. New sights can still grow if you alot an extra week or two for flowering.

How about a picture?

when you post a new comment use the advanced posting option and scroll down. There is a manage attachments feature about 3" below the Submit Reply button. Check the details on the window that pops up to make sure your pictures fit the specifications for this site. I use the lowest settings I can on my camera for image size and quality for this site...they still come out great.

would SCROG apply on this case?, bendind back the plant throu the holes>?
