I have a question regarding the science involved in getting high that I'm looking for educated people to answer.

Say you're in a house and someone in the house is curing buds and part of that curing process involves placing said buds in a preheated oven for a certain duration of time. This process produces a very potent smell in the house, especially around the aforementioned oven.

My question is this: If persons in this household were exposed to this potent smell of heating marijuana for a considerable amount of time, could/would they potentially get high?

:)

Interesting question, if it vaporizes then the answer could be yes depending on proximity. In relation to making dry sifted hash, you catch a buzz by the stuff that gets airborne. Some may question that, but you gotta try it to know like anything else. :D

Thank you for the reply!
So, if it vaporizes then it's possible.
What are the chances of it vaporizing? Would it be visually detectable if it did indeed happen to vaporize?

Off the top of my head, I think cannabis vaporizes around 350 degrees and it will go up in vapor. I don't think you'd see the vapor unless you were doing a giant crop. But really, who knows. Don't put it above 200 degrees if you want to keep it potent, and even lower if your just quick drying.

I am amused by the concept of a 'whole-house hotbox (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hotbox)'. You could have a great party. :)

if your oven is hot enough to vaporize you are losing your THC Killing your final product :jawdropper:

if you baked with the whole buds they will smell, but not much, but don't waste your bud like that, try to make a concentrate like hash, or honey oil, otherwise save it and smoke it, out in the woods or something, just don't go throw in your bag into the brownie mix, it really wont work as good as you hope, and its a complete different buzz you get when ingesting the, more of a relaxing body stone, than a loopy head high, which most of us prefer..
