Hey guys, I've been smoking MJ atleast once a day for the past 8 months. I just a month ago started going out with this girl that I really really like. She does'nt say much but she does'nt like how I smoke so much weed. So basically, I quit for her; it's worth it because I really like her. I'm still going to smoke occasionally because I love Marijuana but nowhere near as much as I was. Today is day 2 without any buds, and I'm going to be with my girl. The whole 'no pot' thing kind'a' blows though.

She does smoke buds. We're still going to do it once in a while, and she told me she would deal with it but it would make her happier if I did'nt do it as much, so yeah.

If you're comfortable with that decision, go for it. Just remember one thing: if you're quitting weed just for her, you might regret in the future, maybe even resent her for making you quit. If you really don't mind quitting go for it, but if there's a doubt, talk to hre about it, if she likes you you'll work out a compromise.

Something I learned when dealing with girls: don't change for them unconditionally, unless they change something for you too. Otherwise, it isn't fair and you'll resent her for it eventually.

Ok... now i have a few thoughts about it. If you really wanna cut down... that's cool, it's your own decision. But think about it like this, if she really liked you for you wouldn't she accept you for the way you are? maybe that's just me... but i simply won't quit because some chick wants me too. Or you could always just tell her that you cut back and didn't? (though that would be lying... and relationships should be built on trust) but either way man, good luck with things.

Just because you are ceasing to partake in an activity you regularly partake in that doesn't mean you're pretending or faking your personality. Odds are he's still going to act like himself.. just minus some intoxication.

I quit for a girl/parents/myself. I quit for 2 years. I realized that it was not worth it at the time and I could not handle weed. Quit for the right reasons and if you do not, maybe you will realize you are happier this way. I just started again, and I actually am broken up with the girl. Timing is funny but I lasted past the breakup. She actually started smoking, but whatever, just be happy with your decision adn if you dont do it as much for her, maybe you will like it too so it will be for the right reasons.
