one of my plants looks like someone has sugar coated it and some pistils are goldish brown is it time?

How many weeks has it been flowering?

The only true way to tell is to get a magnification tool to check the actual color of the trichs.
Milky or milky/amber and they are ready. Clear is not ready.

The "Sugar coating" is the trichomes that GTOD was talking about. THOSE are microscopic glands that contain the most THC.

The color change GTOD was referring to was this.
