Haha, I was smelling the burn off all day today in Louisiana. On a side note, I love how everyone keeps talking about the damn environment while forgetting that human lives were lost in all of this. People really have their priorities straight. I'm surprised the smell could make it that far though.

who cares about the people who died thats minuscule compared to the environmental impact of this we can spare some people but we cant spare some earth imo the more people that die each day the better more air food and water for me

No, unless it was intended as sarcasm, which I doubt it was, it was a very ignorant statement. Please enlighten me as to how anything you said was even remotely intelligent. I'm anxious to hear how birds and fish are more important than human lives.

Yeah I was a little confused when I hear the rig exploded, but not a mention of x amount of workers lives were lost.. The environmental impact for sure is a major fucking disaster, but unless the rig was unmanned, I don't know why they didn't mention the loss of human life..

thats funny you think that dumb ass human lives are more important then our
earth thousands of people die everyday and it don't slow down the population
but fucking millions of gallons of oil spilling into the ocean will have long standing adverse effects on our coastal waterway which directly has an impact
on human and wildlife sustainability for years to come on the other hand
all the people who died were only consumers helping to exhaust natural resources that we have so little of so as i see the more the better
and as how birds an fish are more important then stupid fucking human lives
is the fact that birds and fish contribute to our ecosystem which directly relates to the health of our environment that helps us continue to live in this world but humans are consumers that exploit, deprive and destroy everything around them at all costs

So when someone close to you passes away (dies) your comments will be the same i assume ?
eg.drown in your fish pond.
drag them out and discard them before they contaminate the pond and kill the fish.
i agree with your thoughts on man destroying the planet 100%
but to negate the feelings of others is pathetic.
people like yourself who appear to show no feelings are generally classified medically as schizophrenic.
remember every time that you take a piss or a crap where it goes-oop's did'nt you realise that you are causing pollution and polluting the ocean.
perhaps you are the reason that when we eat some fish we state that it tastes like shit.
you caused it-you polluted the fish and it was poisoned and we ate it.
oop's my mistake-you did'nt-because your crap comes out of the wrong end.
go hold a placcard up somewhere and protest against man and his destruction of the planet.do something useful and don't just sit on your ass moaning.
whilst you are on your pc-check and see the pollution that the discarded part's cause to the planet-simply by using it you are causing pollution.
i hope you are not from the UK we are daft enough without people like yourself.
your meds don't seem to be working-try changing to cod liver oil.

Eleven men lost their lives. Fathers, brothers, husbands, dead...That is a tragedy. Nothing can minimize the loss of these men...nothing.
Disaster is what is happening right now. This has the makings of a totally f##ked up Gulf Coast. And also, nothing can minimize the loss of this marine envionment...nothing
The two are apples and oranges. They can sit on the same bowl but they are different. Which is bigger? Who cares? Both are horrible.

jeeze guys youre both right why the hell are you guys dividing this into humans and animals? i agree with you both but i will have to say that even though the human deaths are a tragedy (and i am by no means making light of that) the enviormental impact is what needs to be focused on at this point. i mean you can see the oil spill from space right now and their quotes on the fix are up to 90 days for some solutions. this is fucking disastrous.
its kind of hard to feel bad for us humans though because weeks ago Obama was reassuring investors and the American people that more offshore drilling was safe and advisable and then this happens... just honesly think of 1000 barrels a day for up to 90 days just spewing into that area. imho one of the worst disasters ive seen in a long time.
oil and blood is always on American hands, whether were killing others for it or we have situations like this where people and animals are dying for the stuff.

you might want to go read a book called eco science it will explain how and why he thinks like he does.people like him believe we are the plague of the earth and need to be killed off.people like ted turner and all of his friends believe the same thing.they believe as hitler did that only the strongest should live and the weak should be wiped out.
i think micsog should then only do whats right and start with himself?oh wait in the teachings it's everybody but themselfs that are supposed to die.
i do wonder tho how can you kill a volcano? i don't think master man knows how much wild life they have killed in their firey wrath no?
on the other hand i would'nt put it past our gov to have caused this? i know how short most peoples memory span is. but i do recall back awhile the"terrorist" blew up part of the pipe line. during the "war on terror" and they made excuses as to why they had to jack up the price, because of them not having enough refineries.the oil companies kept reporting loses then after the summer when it was all said and done the oil companies reported the highest record gains of any company ever per quarter.just something to watch for.

natural disasters are for balance in the ecosystem
human disasters cause imbalance
if you care about humanity so much why dont you give money to the homeless
and adopt orphans but dont waste your time grieving for lives lost because it could mean the the lesser fortunate may have a chance now
a bleeding heart need make no sound for a world thats deaf

Micsog, dont bother, your right.
they are both tragedies, but in the whole scheme of things... the WHOLE picture people. This oil leak is way more disastrous than 11 mens lives.
Pure speculation, but I would bet that the outcome of this oil spill will end a lot more than 11 humans via ecological problems in the future.

We should care about everything that's being affected by it. The animals and the humans. In the end we're all equal. Just because humans are more intellegent and have intellect doesn't make them better than animals. Humans are animals. We're all here and using this Earth for the same purpose. But you have to think, humans are the ones that caused the oil spill. We've killed so many species for our convenience. Insects, animals, other humans. It's discusting.

Congrats, you found a typo. Granted, that was a bad sentence to have one in. lol
