I was wondering could i use 2 2ft 18w t8 fluorescent tubes for veg and flowering? both equal 2300 lumen's and i read you can veg and flower at a minimum of 2000 lumen's, i will only be growing 1 plant.

consider your plant to be like an engine, the size of the plant is the size of the motor, the amount of light is the amount of fuel, you want more growth speed, you need more fuel or light. as the plants gets bigger it need more feul to keep up the speed (V8 engine feul efficiency vs. a four cylinder) but can survive on a trickle of fuel, similar to idling your engine (keeps running but doesnt move).
