This is my first grow. My babies are just seedlings about and inch tall each. I have been just misting them with a bottle of rain water when the top of the mix gets dry. I was just wondering when comes the time that i start looking into fertilizers or nutrient to add. Plz help.

Thanks all.

Everybody does their starts differenty. For me I grow outside and put my pre-cracked seed in Sunshine Mix #3. Then I sprinkle a teaspoon of time release 14-14-14 per pot before the starts clear the dirt. This is the only fertilizer I use in the first 4 weeks. Starts look like this;

you can start soon after they root. just make sure you start off with very little and build your way up. lets say the bottle says 10ml a gallon, do 1ml, 2ml, 3ml... thats my way works for me. what i have noticed is plants just love slow changes. and babies including humans love to start out with calcium. i don't know why i even said that but its kinda cool. thats in just about any fertilizer and its def in water.
just start out slow thats all.
